To begin with, we looked here to check out the parties and clubs and went to several to investigate "the scene". Discovered that it was something we really enjoyed from there we place an advert and responded to several.
We are specific in what we are looking for ( other couples or bi fems ) and find it easy to flush out the timewasters and photo hunters. We send pictures of ourselves not our bodies and its surprising how many possible contacts diaappear when you ask the ladies to make phone contact woman on woman.

Hotscot... not sure it's "the norm", but can you hand on heart say it's a surprise? This is predominantly a free site based upon sex! It will always attract passers by chancing their arm at a bit of tittilation.
I'm not saying I agree with it, but it's par for the course, and it's foolish to expect not to encounter it. Most swingers take measures to filter out the idiots, but there are always a handful that seem highly plausible and turn out to be frauds. It's just life.

I think that's an indication of why so many people criticise so quickly; because they've not had much luck in the early days of coming to the site. I really do agree with you here AnalogKid, I think that what tends to happen is that people view swinging sites as a place that they can surf in, pick up a shag and surf out again and it doesnt work that way. I left a site recently because it had become totally overpopulated with them, leaving little room to breathe for the genuine ones
. Besides which the folks here seem to be a lot friendlier 
. Instant gratification isn't what these sites are about...it can take time. Most people will want to know you a bit before they let you into their knickers/pants/codpieces/thongs/whatever. The people who realise this are the successful ones. The people who don't usually give up after a couple of weeks and move to another site...and the same fruitless quest.

Oddest story I ever heard....a couple I know got a reply from a guy who wanted to turn up and clean their house for them while they had sex on the sofa . I kid you not. I suggested putting a shovel in his hands and getting him to dig the garden and mow the lawn too. :bounce:

As others have so rightly said, no one succeeds by adopting the attitude of "I fancy a shag tonight, where can I find one?" With one or two exceptions, my encounters have all been as a result of several exchanges and an establishment of mutual trust over a period of time.
I accept that there will be times, when a chance encounter can lead to something good. But, they are certainly not the norm and it's probably the spantaneity which makes them seem special.
There is also a fine line, between dogged persistence and becoming a pain in the lower regions. (No I don't mean darn sarff, lol)
I am not, as those who know may testify, a George Clooney lookalike
Therefore if a lady, whether she be single or part of a couple, is looking for a particular type of bloke to satisfy her needs, no amount of persuasion will get her to change her personal taste or choice. Fortunately we are all different and have differing views on what we find attractive or unattractive. Just because Mrs A finds you unattractive, doesn't mean Miss B will too. :)
When I first started I took it personally, when someone wrote back (If they did write back, lol) saying, "Sorry you're not our/my type". Resisting the temptation to write back "Why not, I'm feckin' brilliant?" I persevered and have moved forward. 8)
I also accept that there will always be the pic collectors, who will ask for a pic for their own use. In case you doubt this claim, I know for a fact that someone else is using my photo for their own use. A friend of mine was chatting in an MSN swingers chatroom to another "lady". This "lady" was supposedly part of a swinging couple and offered photos of her partner and herself. My friend was shocked to see my photo appear, as this other persons partner! When my friend asked if she could speak to either of them, the other person logged off, lol. (Personally I was pretty pissed off, not at the use of my pic but, that someone else was having fun destined for me!)

If you would have asked this one week and one day ago I might have said no however last weekend I met a great couple(you know who you are) and had a great night with them and we all got to play on top of that we have arranged to meet again.

I have only been on this site for 3 weeks and had two meets already both successfull one with a very nice couple (you know who you are) and a single woman I hope to meet them again when I am back from holiday I find the way forward is to lay back and chill out dont be pushy and you will have success
