Very interesting reading Steve has had the snip and was never warned about the increased risk of testicular cancer!! confused
As for checking for lumps etc, thats done on a daily basis,we both know each others bodies that well that we'd soon know if there was anything wrong.
And yeah you guys may have an embarrasment issue at times and do complain about women having more facilities, well women clinics etc, its a terrifying thing to go through for anyone and when your in that situation youll find out exactly what is out there for you that you never realised existed,so yes they should make men and women a whole lot more aware of things like testicular cancer and men checking themselves more often.
But things like breat cancer in men are rarely mentioned either, the whole issue should be well publicised to gain more awareness for everyone,if it helps save lives then its definately worth it.

great forum great thread, only trouble is we dont reach a wider audience ,
I will never forget when the Doc carried the kit for doing a prostate biopsy into the room  . Wow I said , which end of the cow does that go in?
Jovially he replied , bend over. evil
All worth it when I got the all clear :thrilled:
The snip thing and more risk is another made up thing. Not enough proof, just that it is checked against the minority who have it to those who dont. A friend who was 19 got cancer recently in the groin, and because he discussed it with his girlfriend and went to have it sorted he was totally fine. If anyone is worried look for info on the local webpages or BPAS who have all the blurb and stuff on ops and risks...

A question I was asked shopping today by a lovely lady?
The idea is to raise awareness of testicular cancer and how important it is to be aware. Much like breast cancer it is a case of feeling for any unusual lumps or swellings and NOT to panic but to check. Early detection is often easily fixed, but leaving it can be fatal. She also said it was fun to ask your partner to check as well, and to swap roles to make it fun whilst being practical.
So if you have fun tonight, or in the next few days, get some feeling done...?

A very good post indeed and to be honest I feel that some of the responsibility falls upon a partner to mention or just be aware of any abnormalities. Hey, if you love the guy enough to roll his balls around in your mouth, you should have the openess to bring up any concerns if any should appear.
Then again, thats just me.
