this is the bit that will confuse everyone...no clear demarcation between swingers and daters.... because of the name and where it has been launched..the links bewtween the two sittes are too close at the moment until the site is unleashed on the general public...to ensure genuine daters are on the site..not just swingers lloking for a new source for swing partners!!

Besides, for every person from this part of the site who joins *just to be nosy*, isn't that taking up a free account which could be better used by a vanilla for dating purposes?
I'm sure some people will have plenty to say if the vanilla's come on here asking for dates

Because may be their partner is off trying to get shagged on some swinging site by complaining that their partner doesn't understand their needs - so they have decided to look for a new one themselves

I'm going to reserve judgement for a little as I have too many issues with the whole link between SD and SH so far.
It's a good idea but I think it would work better if the link wasn't so direct. If I meet a guy on there he's going to know straight away by my profile that I'm bisexual. How long before he's asking for a 3some? I can stay here for that. I don't want to put straight on my profile because I'm not.
Everyone on there will know that the members so far are all swingers. I'm all for the site in theory and well done to the SH team for setting it up but I think severing links with SH would be the best way to see if SD will do what it says on the tin.

It's a good idea but I think it would work better if the link wasn't so direct. If I meet a guy on there he's going to know straight away by my profile that I'm bisexual. How long before he's asking for a 3some? I can stay here for that. I don't want to put straight on my profile because I'm not.

They won't get people to pay unless they have a reasonable sized membership - until the site is established, business wise it is better to have 1000 nosey people registered as members than 23 genuine ones.

Surely all profiles should be vetted before they are approved... or are admin just letting anyone in so they can get past 10,000 and start charging people for using the site...
in dating surely its about having quality profiles...

It is not a con - it is good business sense.
Nobody has been forced to go and top-up the membership stats on the dating site - so I fail to see how we are being used
In some respects I like the idea - that some of the lonely souls who trudge around on here secretly looking for luuurrve get the benefit of free membership for 12 months and actually go looking in the right place.

I would guess that the link here is one to be able to get the first role of members on the sd when vanilla folk find the site they will be more willing to part with there money to join,as there will already be 1000's of members showing. And there are singles on this site that altho they swing maybe be open to a vanilla dateing 
so it may have been that the origanal concept was to give something back to there already loyal customer base here : well if you are looking for more than swing buds your getting a yrs free membership, which when the genuine folk part with there dosh and join could be benefical

) I can see their point though. The site was set up for singles and at the moment it's half full of couples ( or should that be 2/3? )
Maybe a dummy run would have been better for everyone to take a look, give their opinions and given it a trial run before the site went 'live'.
That would also have allowed SH to break main links with the site and so leave it for the purpose it was intended.
