what are peoples opinions?
ive noticed that guys upto about 6'2 are considered ok, but people over that (i come in at 6'8) seem to be too tall.
does this also apply to the more vertically challenged out there?

I'm 'only' 6.3 so I cant quite put myself in your positon but I like being tall(ish).
Thier have been times when it has worked against me though like when driving small cars or when picking a new motorblike, all the latest sports 600's a quite small!
I happy with my hight and their is no way I would want to be any smaller. But getting back to your comment I guess your right. I know a few big lads, 6.4 /6.6, and people tend to make a bit of a deal of it.

. When I go to gigs I can't see a thing cos everyone else is so tall.

As a woman, personally I find it compulsorily attractive for a man to be tall from 6 foot and onwards (even more attractive than the muscular body). For me, the height gives the man that certain superiority that I find it oh so masculine.
BUT...6.8 is a bit freakingly tall but if I were a 6 footer gal, I'm sure my opinion would be different. If I knew you well and liked you and I'm about say 5.2 for example, I'm sure your height wouldn't stop me from wanting to date you.
Have you thought about targetting 6 footer women? I heard Jerry Hall is available and she's a hottie for her age.

That might be a bit tall for me - I'm only 5ft. (then again could come in handy at some point)

advantages :-
can reach items at the back of top shelves in supermarkets
can see over people's heads at concerts, cinema, etc
can torment small children and vertically challenged adults by dangling items just out of their reach
disadvantages :-
always getting pestered by OAPs in supermarkets wanting the last tin of tripe at the back of the shelf
getting tutted at by short people and children when i stand in front of them at concerts or sit in front of them in cinemas
prone to banging head on low door frames (much worse for lancy i guess)

I guess I am a fairly average height for a bloke ( 6 ft) so hard to comment one way or the other, I do have a cpl of male friends who are well over 6 ft tall and they seem to do ok at chams nudge nudge wink wink, so from my experience I would have to say its an advantage, although am sure there is a point where it becomes a disadvange....... maybe at 6 ft 8 you are just over that mark.......

At 5'6'', I guess I'm what folk would regard as a "wee guy". And I suppose, unfortunately, it puts me in the category of 'not considered' by some of you gorgeous ladies out there. Its all down to what you fancy tho'.
Disadavantages are obvious: basketball players always sit in front of me at the theatre or football. I choose not to moan - but do sit smugly and say "there's plenty of room", when on a coach or an aeroplane.
Also, my feet don't stick out the end of the bed!

OMG how much do i agree with that!!!! I live in a village where houses were made for dwarves i think.
looks like im in with a chance tho, people definately seem receptive to the taller man....even if i am freakishly tall. lol.
