Hello everyone, and a serious question

Firstly, I'd like to say hello to everyone! Been reading the site for the last few weeks and finally built up the courage to join!
Anyway, onto the serious stuff... Mrs Yellowfrog and I have recently made the descision to have our first tentative steps at swinging, but we have no idea how to attract other people to join us. We could try photo adverts, but she's somewhat opposed to having naked photos of herself published on the internet confused

and going out on the pull together is a bit of a no-no because of lack of babysitters.
Also, probably the biggest problem we might have (well, in my mind anyway) is that looks-wise we're quite mismatched. She's bl00dy gorgeous, and I can best be described as looking like Shrek. I think this will probably put more than a few women/couples off :?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Right first things first ........ hello Mr and Mrs yellowfrog wave

As you are in the first tentative steps, why don't you stick around the forums for a while, get to know us all and for us to get to know you cool

Then as active members of the forum, you can then go to one of the many organised munches (in the 'lets meet up' forum). This will be an ideal way for you both to meet likeminded people, but in a totally social environment. Absolutely no pressure whatsoever then biggrin

As for looks ......... well I think you're selling yourself short there Mr Yellowfrog smackbottom

I'm sure Mrs yellowfrog doesn't think you're an ogre! In fact you come across rather nice in that first post 8-)
Personally I couldn't give two hoots as to what someone looks like (although do draw the line at combovers cos they're just plain silly :undecided: ). I'm sure I am not alone in those thoughts either (the two hoots bit I mean, not the combover bit!). If you get on well with people, have a laugh etc, then maybe you will connect sexually too. It works both ways, you also have to connect with the other person(s)
So just take things slow, enjoy the journey and anticipation of getting there ........ and most of all - Have fun :D

is it just your opinion that you look like shrek?
or :
do schoolchildren run screaming everytime you walk past?
did the doctor slap your mother rather than you when you were born?
do peaople constantly make comments about it being a good job you have a nice personality?
do peaople tel you that you have a face like a slapped arse as a compliment?
if the answer to any of these questions is yes... then you truely ARE ugly! :shock:
but hey never mind..... that doesnt matter here in the cafe! biggrin

we are more interested in the person that you are than what caused the cracks in your mirror, so sit down. get comfy.. and have fun!

First of all - welcome Yellowfrog (and Mrs Yellowfrog wave

).
If you are feeling somewhat tentative then you are in the right place because everyone on here is really gentle and supportive.
As for looks....... The real beauty of a Forum such as this is that no-one has a clue what you look like and will judge you on your postings and the wit and wisdom contained therein. I am living proof (well, technically just about living) that this is the case. My other half is bloody gorgeous - and I met her through this very site. What she sees in me I cannot imagine dunno

but we are having a fantastic time and I am trying not to think about it!

Shrek? SHREK????? I would loveto look like Shrek instead of Quasimodo's much uglier cousin! As you may have gathered, I don't feel too good about my looks either - and with good reason redface

Hi and :welcome: to Mr & Mrs yellowfrog ...
Nother one here .. .i'm terribly insecure about my looks, weight etc but none of it truely matters here in the cafe ...... one thing is that you will have fun and make some good friendships.
I've found this site a real boost (both in terms of adult friendship and in gaining confidence). We too have young children and face similar problems to you ... and I know a few others here do too. We've started going to a club, once a month to get into the swing of things (sorry for the pun) and found that a babysitter once a month is manageable for now.
Perhaps ask a few of the other parents how they manage etc ...

I,v only been into the swinging scene since April and you,ll find that everyone on here are very nice and help you out when not sure about things the best thing i was told was to go to one of the munch,s and you,ll get to meet other new people and regulars there, thats what me and hubby are going to do.

I think everyone has pretty much covered everything above. So I'll just say that if your wife's bloody gorgeous and she was attracted to you, then you can't be all that bad and there will certainly be other people attracted to you as well.

ok so I admit I don't look like Shrek (or donkey for that matter) but I'm certainly no "beauty" ... just a plain Jane. The only time children run from me is if they've (mine) been naughty and Mum's on a rampage!
I have a real self-image problem ..... usual women stuff .. had children, weigh more than before, not totally comfortable with it ..... nothing that anyone else would agree too ... you know the sort of thing.

The kids bit I can relate to big style. easy + naughty/gobby kid = evil

My Mrs has gone from a size 16 to a size 12 since the start of this year and is still loosing it ( :crazy: but that's what kids do lol

). I'm so proud of her for having the willpower and determination to do it. She just made the decision that it was getting her down and did it. :mrgreen:
Didn't matter to me I love HER, not just the image of her.
Just stay positive and you can do anything you want hun. wink

No beauty but I have bags of personality ...... and a couple of funbags :wink: that's all I need .. can't have everything in life after all that would just spoil me :twisted:
I've dropped from a size 16 to a 14 so far this year with little effort thankfully .... once I get back into the swing of going to the Gym then I'll probably get some more confidence back. I look in the mirror and expect a size 10 to be looking out at me ... and I'm only a short little critter LOL

I have been here for a little while and I was VERY nervous to begin with but now - Im going to my first club on Fri ...and I have had several meets - im not the worlds smallest person if you know what I mean (think Dawn French).
I firmly believe that beauty is from within and that if you are enjoying yourself you attract others who believe that you are lovely and want to join with you - (or something like that)

Welcome to Mr & Mrs Yellowfrog... Melons has hit it on the head I think. There is nothing turns someone on more than a sexy looking come and get me smile...you know what I mean!!!
I am a single father and thanks to my parents can get away once a week on average... I have found this site tops for meeting people and thanks to them all...they know who they are lol

The greatest boost I have is the fact that i've lost that inner thought of being a freak! There's loads of us freaks on here even if you do look like Shrek!!! wink

Thanks for the welcome folks, you've made me feel a wee bit happier smile

My biggest concern is that I'll scare people off, as I look like a bit of a bruiser, and the ravages of playing contact sports hasn't really helped. Unfortunately, a lot of people never get past how I look to find out I'm just a gentle giant lol

As to the person who said that it doesn't matter if I look like Shrek as long as I have a 15 inch willy, well, all I can say is ;)

Hi there Mr Yellowfrog. Truth be told most of us guys when compared to our more fragrant female friends has fallen out of the ugly tree & hit every branch on the way down. :shock: But don't give up hope, as I learned a long time ago as long as you make the best of what you have & be especially dilligent on hygene & politeness the rest doesn't matter. I know it might sound a bit trite but belive me i'm no brad pitt but have had a lot of success over the years, so if it works for me anybody has hope. So cheer up & dive in. :happy: :happy:

yellowfrog just to help your confidence I am more than willing to look at any pictures you might have, naked or clothed, cos I am sure I will confirm everything that the rest of the guys have said before me. (You can't blame me for trying and it was subtle)
yellowfrog I would also make a bloody good prop forward (whatever that is but it was the only rugby position I know) and I'd fit in a scrum nicely. In fact, I AM the scrum on my own! But its not stopped me (and him in doors) having some fun :giggle:

I'm so ugly that the dog shuts its eyes when it shags my leg. But I still managed to land mrs davej but that doesn't really help cos the dog just looks at her, thinks about it and then just goes off to lick his own nuts!

I have no idea why Mr yellowfrog was worried about looks cos it matches the personality and is lovely, I mean really lovely.
