Oh my God- can anyone tell me how to recall a email sent to the wrong email address?
Its not been opened yet - Im going to be in so much trouble if I cant
Dont think you can dunno
Thanks Mallock.
Im f*cked.
As far as i know there's now way to retrieve it but, depending on whats in the email (ie not something only you would know), you could open a new account and email the person with a 'general message to my contacts' saying your account has been hacked and a malicious email has been sent out to address book contacts so you're closing it.
It's a long shot but it might just work kiss
I would go with meats suggestion, you could always contact to see if its possible to recall the email

 slip of the finger, Cherry?

Yes. Ive just given away someone's private email address because I added them to a long list of recipients for a humerous email. It shows their real name and their private address.
Ive mailed them and apologised hugely.
Oh Goddddddddd.

It was through Outlook express, doesnt have a recall facility -i was hoping there would be a hidden recall option somewhere.
You have my sympathy Cherry.... kiss
I once sent a saucy mail to my fella....... unfortunatley my neighbour has the same first name and I sent it to him by mistake!! redface surprisedops: rolleyes I was banging on his door all afternoon to no avail..... he'd gone out for the day and I had to go to work.
Couldnt look him in the face for months... confused :?

was pretty obvious it wasnt meant for u though x
F.Y.I There is a recall option in Outlook (dunno bout Outlook Express) but it will only work if the recipient of the email is on the same domain... i.e they share or can 'see' the same mail server.
sorry Cherry - but I'm dying to know what you sent! :P
Ive never e-mailed the wrong person but Im sure most of you will remember that I once forwarded a reveling text photo of my head between another womans legs to my boss by mistake redface
That was months ago now and i still go red when I have to see him surprisedops:
There's one person in my address book who receives lots of very saucy texts from me.
I cringe everytime I open the address book and see that she is flanked by two work colleagues. A slip of the finger would be very damaging indeed. :scared:
Consequently, I usually try to keep to the Reply button - or I'm very careful when I originate a message.

Surely he can only recognise the back of your head from that - so he won't be all-knowing to your face?
I should put it behind you wink .
.
Unfortunately my eyes and nose along with my very distiguisable haircut were clearly noticable! confused
But to be fair to my boss he has never mentioned it but I do get the odd funny look on a night out, Im sure he is trying to catch me eyeing up the ladies! lol
