have bought new lappy and installed everything but if i plug my ipod in it tries to wipe it clean, is there any way i can get my library from old lappy to new one so i dont lose over 600 fookin songs

either network the 2 machines together and transfer that way, or get a USB pen drive dump the songs that way. A 4 gig pen will hold a lot of songs will take a bit of time but might be easier if you dont know/want to learn to network.

Depends how they've been saved in the first place - if they're MP3, WAV or WMA you should be ok transferring them. If you've purchased songs from iTunes that are in AAC (Apple) format they may be locked and difficult to copy.
This is where iTunes is a real pain and Apple is being leant upon by the EC Courts for having restrictive practices.....if you pay for a song, why should you only be able to play it in iTunes or on your iPod?
There are numerous programmes around that remove the AAC copy protection so you can move your files just like any other media file. Have a search on Google or PM me if you want any further info.

if you have 2 network leads (the ones that look like a phone cable) you can network them together using your belkin router

1. Connect the iPod to your PC. If iTunes starts syncing (ie erasing) your music automatically, hit the X in the upper right hand corner of iTunes display, to the left of the search box, to stop it.
2. In Control Panel, Portable Media Devices, double-click your iPod.
3. In the Tools menu -> Options, in the View Tab, check "Show hidden files and folders."
4. Navigate to the Music folder. On my 2nd gen 'pod, the full path is

iPod_ControlMusic5. Select all the music folders, and drag and drop them into a folder on your hard drive, or directly into iTunes.
