Help!

Hi,
Newbie here and I'm after some help (technical with the site) as I've an email from the forum saying I have a PM but I can't find the PM in by inbox, or anywhere else for that matter.
Is there an auto-delete function that is active/I've missed as I haven't checked mail/SH for a couple of weeks.

Ah, this is because who ever sent your pm has delted it from their outbox before youve opened it. When this happens you get the alert that you have apm but it isnt there any more.

I hate that, it's such a tease! I was sent two PMs in quick succession just before xmas. All excited, I went to check my inbox only to find no new messages! Tease!
