I bought my mam a lovely traditional Mayan table cloth in Mexico, only to discover back at the hotel that it was embroidered with traditional Mayan Geisha girls :shock:
well..not so much souvenier...but was off to thailand as I do most Novembers....and had shown some mates my Fake Rolex watch and fake Tag Watch....said it was £10 and if anyone wanted one to let me know and I'd bring them one back. Ended up bringing through 92 watches in total !!! Actually got stopped at customes in bangkok...I had all the watches in my hand luggage....and he put hand in the bag pulled out about 20 Rolex..looked at me..smiled and said christmas is coming eh.....you must have a big family !!! and waved me on....
yes sarah but 92 fake rolex don't actually weigh much......now your 92 pairs of fake gucci shoes and matching hand bag..i would of thought may of pushed you over the limit a little !!!!!
I brought back 2 large bags of sticks from Africa.
On departure it was a Malawi table and 2 chairs. On the luggage carousel at Heathrow it was firelighters.
On that particular trip I managed to bring home 63kilos of luggage without paying an excess. At the time I did not realise they would be dragging my luggage behind the plane rather than in the hold.
