I am going back home for Christmas. It's been 2 years since my last holiday. Mom reports it's raining cats and dogs there, lots of flooding and cold winds. Might have to get the fireplace going and drink tea with brandy to keep warm whilst watching the winter swimmers club cut their new year's pitta on the beach on TV. Then there is also the Christmas and New Year's concerts from Vienna to look forward to. And cream pastries. I am going to walk into a shop and get a selection of cream pastries: almond, chocolate, fruit, truffle... and then hide in a corner and eat them all by myself! :P

Just booked the ferry for our summer holiday next to Dunkirk, £36 return. We're going back to the French Alps on the bike again. Oh, those roads! We had been planning to go back to Germany, but with the World Cup being on we changed our minds. If some of our so-called England supporters act true to form I don't think being English in Germany will be a good thing!
