worlass and I have spent the afternoon and early evening in the cinema watching two films- Changeling and My Best friend's girl. In the middle of the 2nd film which isn't really romantic or hot the couple behind us start, well, ummmm, making noises. Worlass and I turned to each other and started to giggle. I quickly turned around and saw that they were being ummmmm intimate. confused
We thought it would stop so we got back into the film. The noises didn't stop and we were a little perturbed by this.
When we left the film we spoke about it to each other and realised that were both really 'put off' by it and felt quite 'icky' (technical term wink )
Would it gross you out if you were witnessing someone 'heavy petting' in a public place in an environment completely unexpectedly?
I think our feelings about it surprised us both.
Disgusting behavour, they should have been thrown out. lol
Mind you though there are people that get a buzz from that kind of thing.
As long as you could still hear the film though, unless you was enjoying the additional entertainment?
ewww no, I only need the noises from the film. Their idea of background noise was unpleasant.
I'd have turned my back on the screen and sat munching popcorn and watching them until they'd got the message :lol2:
I think it can be incredibly arousing hearing people being intimate like that, but only if it's appropriate. In a club or house party, through the walls to the room next door in a hotel perhaps - they can all be pretty horny listening in.
In the cinema when I've paid good money to watch a film? Nope. Not good.

would you really ? We just blushed and prayed for the film to be louder than them.

That basically sums it up for me as well...
There's a time and a place and really the pictures is neither :lol2:
I was in the cinema with my ex a couple of years ago and the couple behind us started snogging. That wasn't so bad but it was the sloppiest snog I've ever heard! Last time I heard such loud slurping it was someone eating a Pot Noodle! confused
For some reason I had visions of 2 slugs doing it and it right put me off
Nope I would definitely want to be allowed to watch the film....can't imagine having to watch Mamma Mia with slurpy gloopy noises going on behind me
I hate 'background noise' when i'm im watching films. I'd have said something and have, on occasion innocent requested someone to keep the noise down as well as telling someone to shut the fuck up or piss off out of the cinema if they want to sit and chat redface

What he said!
I really can not abide background noise when either watching or reading something, I would of told them to shut up or f*ck off. unless of course they looked a bit handy, then iu would of just smiled biggrin

It's the squelching that puts me off.
.
I'd just start farting loudly then ask them how they like it.
It's all in the delivery
I have to admit i find this kind of thing off putting, i don't like to see people making out in public places, theres a time and a place for everything, and altho it can be quite a turn on being watched, to me it has to be by people who want to watch, and not on the unsuspecting public lol

know wat ya mean if i was eating popcorn and i heed fanny farts that wad put me off to rolleyes
I agree with most others above - very uncalled for behaviour - wrong time and place totally.
I think I would have asked the management for a bucket of cold water to throw over them!
Phew... I can throw my label of 'prude' away then. wink
Splendid, I would of been horribly embarrassed and grossed out redface if I was in that situation.
There is a time and a place for risky sex and the cinema is not the place confused .
Btw is Changelings any good ?
It is a great film Lyns.. and thankfully was slurping free.
damn...some people have all the luck.... the only noises I get when at the cinema is slurping drink and munching doritos noises ... or last time when took daughter to see "high School Musical 3" I just got screaming in my ears every time Troy appeared on screen !!
Sorry splendid, I'll try & behave next time redface
I have been unable to add to this thread as I think I am still in shock at the whole incident. I am usually the first one to tell someone to shut up, be quiet, stop kicking my chair etc in the cinema, I am not a lady to be messed with when trying to enjoy a good film!!!
I was however so embarrassed with this I was stunned into silence. Fortunately only Splendid did the visual check hear so at least I was spared that, although I dont know what I found worse actually hearing it, or smelling it, it was so gross - ewww I feel sooo violated.
Must be a new THX addition to Dolby Digital or Sony SDDS.
Sloppy Surround with Smell-O-Vision.
