Hi everyone
We are trying to organise a bit of a party in a hotel room. The hotel is part of an international chain but not one of the huge ones! What is going to be the hotels reation to a string of people comming into our room??
They may well not be at all happy if the noise is such that other guests complain.
They could then possibly do something about the noise.
They could say that only the people on the booking form are allowed to be in the room ?
The manager may want a free pass...
OMG - You lot are hopeless - just trying to avoid being the next News of the World expose!!!!!
If only we had thought of that.....Dooh!!
Anyway - it was a serious question but the text people the room number seems a good ide and maybe restrict to 4/5 people. Oh and gags!!!
Most hotels have the entrance to the rooms within sight of the reception desk. You could try somewhere like and 'Innkeeper's Lodge' where you have to book in at the pub next door and are then given the key to the building where the rooms are. Your visitors may not be seen directly and you may have to open the front door for them but there's probably a camera watching somewhere.
Smooth2
Another thought for the future, and a recent discovery of mine is serviced apartments. if you split the cost a much better option for playing than a hotel room IMHO but depends on where you meet cos there's not so many of these about.
check these out in Brum. I should be on commission or at least get an invite lol
Ah yes good point Rob, we've stayed in apartments for just one night and there's much more scope for fun. And they're not that much more expensive. Well worth the extra for the space. The best one we stayed in was only £65 in Manchester. Use Laterooms to find one.
You're a lot less likely to disturb people and get chucked out too as there are usually rooms between bedrooms.
Having recently worked in a 4star hotel in a security capacity I can tell you that, to a large extent, it depends on the outlook of the individual shift manager. This assumes, of course, that you aren't making too much noise or offending the modesty of other guests! ( Spoilsports!! )
Where I worked there was one night manager who seemed to think it was his mission in life to limit the socialisation of guests.....particularly after 11pm......the others usually had a knowing smile and let things continue until noise was too great or there were complaints from other guests.
Since I'm no longer working there.......I can't tell you what shifts I'm on......otherwise you could play to your hearts content......assuming I got 'observer' status of course!!
Just remember which ever hotel / apartment you end up using don't forget to take a travel iron :giggle:
