Hi all (again)
Just wanted to ask you lot about hotel rooms.
If we wanted to rent a room in a hotel/motel for a few hours for some adult fun, hows it looked on by the hotel/motel? In other words, does it happen a lot where a room gets booked and paid for and the guest leave in the early hours?
Only ask, as we have hooked up with another couple (maybe) and both have kids, so each others place is outta the question for night time fun. Which is a bit of a drag...
Or have you got any ideas other than a room for the night, where its warm mind, nothing like this doggin stuff out in the rain/cold/snow!!!
We are in the southwest by the way, so if any other Devon peeps have suggestions, let me hear them please

Again no expert but I think the Hotel will only be thinking about profits and figures to be worrying about what guests get up to.
Go ahead enjoy yourselves lol
Travel Lodges and such places are good for this, they are actually cheaper at the weekend as they cater for people travelling on business during the week.
You can turn up any time and pay cash in advance (one chain has now stopped this, they want a credit card and ID) and you can keep the room til 12 noon the next day. So what time you leave is up to you - if you stay only a few hours it won't bother the receptionist!

Formula One hotels are great. No reception staff to worry about, very anonomous
Absolutely no problem with the large, Motorway side type of hotels, although more are asking for id if you pay cash. You dont need to book out when you pay in advance and the card type keys mean you dont even need to hand your key back in.
The reception staff must be used to it because its getting very difficult to get them to raise an eyebrow. Ibis rooms are available from noon, if your looking to have fun before collecting the kids from schooll.

if you use one of the chain type hotels they really arent bothered , water off a ducks back mate , however b and bs tend to be a little bit more nudge nudge wink wink even with sddome saying NO etc, ive had probs not only when ive been with a girl but when ive been working nights away from home, you turn up knackered of a morning in work gear and ask to book a twin room with your male colleague, you explain why and although they have vacancies they will often refuse, go for a chain but remember a lot of them have a 11 am booking in time.
All these suggestions are good, the important thing is to pay when you arrive. If you feel you NEED to give an explaination just say you may have to respond to a medical emergency! Best of all is to say 'I may as well pay now' on booking in. Too much information and detail about why is as good as wearing a badge saying 'Just here for sex!'
Best of all, look at it this way. Hotels are now, and always have been, meeting places for people to have sex without other people knowing. The hotel staff know this. If they have a problem with that they shouldn't be in the hospitality trade anyway!
(But I STILL get nervous when I book in for an afternoon of fun!)
they dont give a shit why you are there they only want the money, half of the hotels i this country and abroad would close down but for the daytime shagging business, they really dont care. just dont be too noisey , consider your neighbours that may want some sleep lol

going by the name of the hotel ,do you have to be quick lol
bloody cheap too, ive used these in france about a tenner a night , clean and basic , but very anonymous, credit card in the recetion and your in. prefer a travel lodge though for a days bonking , i like the convenience to the motorways lol
Hi all,
I second the comments above.
Any of the 'chain' hotels just want your money.
Just don't try to get too many people in the room !
And be quiet when you leave.
You might not want to try the cheapest end though - probably won't impress too many people unless all you're both looking for is a 'quickie'.
Big-Gun
Chain hotels really don't care about that sort of thing - mostly they're staffed by people who really couldn't give a stuff. I can imagine it being a bit uncomfortable staying in B&Bs though, as they do tend to be some old dear's pride and joy!
If you're looking for some weekend fun try the Copthorne Hotels - at weekends they're about 65 quid if you go through the right booking agent (PM me for url, i'm sure i can dig it out), and they are SO much nicer than travel inns which are about 50 quid a night.
Travel inns etc. are designed for business people to crash in, so they're quiet and basic - they also feel a little bit seedy, which I guess could be a plus if that's your thing.
The Copthornes are built like a porn movie set biggrin - huge rooms, big ensuite bathrooms with mirrors everywhere, a bath you can just about fit two people in, and in the one I was in, a big kitchen worksurface type desk thing across one end of the room which was at the perfect height, quite strong too. smile The one we were in (Birmingham) also gave us no hassle at all, despite the fact we made a hell of a lot of noise redface .
If you're looking for somewhere really special, I reckon hotel Pelirocco ( in Brighton looks amazing, and their rooms blatantly aren't designed with sleep in mind! If anyone goes there, please can you give me a review - I really like the look of it but I've never made it down there!

stopped in a bnb in york once all the rooms were different , we had the brothel room , yeah ok it wasnt suppose to be a brothel i just think they had a job lot of crap material left over and did it up like one, but we thought brothel when we saw it, quite fun tbh all it needed was a saxophonist down the road and i was in some cheap hookers room in new orleans
we have stayed in travel inns/travel lodges a few times and have found them ok... in all honesty the furnishings have been the last thing on our minds! wink
another cheap option is the ibis chain... they tend to be very similar to the travel lodges in terms of decor and facilities.
never met a girl yet that warranted more than 40 quid for a room , lol
one day i might i hope lol
As an ex-Food and Beverage Manager and Hotel Assistant Manager I can shed some "professional" light upon this.
Chain hotels don't really mind what the rooms are used for provided: The room is properly paid for (i.e. Double Occupancy)Nothing illegal is taking placeYou don't disturb or upset the other guests or staffPrivately owned hotels and B&Bs are a different matter and usually have a much stricter policy.
If you make a bit of a mess of the room (i.e. bed sheets all over the place, bathroom in a tip and covered in water) then please leave the chambermaid a good tip as she will have considerablly more work to do. Without a decent tip the chambermaid could complain to the management who may want to charge you extra for the extra time it takes to service the room.
a quick tip when staying in b and bs for the day, have your breakfast before you go to bed, face it you wont be there the following morning , if your there early enogh they probably wont mind lol well ive done it in the past
What about if you book a double room, and ask 3 or more couples or a few singles to join you in your room?
Suppose you could all meet in the bar area, have a drink (obviously) and then one by on, sneak off to the bedroom for an orgy!
What do you all think?

I'm no expert on this, but I know someone who's booked an Ibis room for the day for that reason with no problems at all.
