I can sign in to messenger and my home page is fine but when I want to acces my mail it asks me to 'type in the characters' so it can recognise that I'm not an automated system, i do as asked and it asks me to sign in again which I do, then I get the 'type in the characters' message again and it just goes round and round asking the same. Any ideas?

Get a real email account?

dunno....you should try microsoft....either that or clear your temp internet files?
confused:
log in via the MSN Messenger icon on your taskbar, right click it and 2nd option is My E-Mail Inbox
works fine for me, just tested to be sure
are you typing the verification word/numbers as seen, e.g. small letters for small letters, capitals for capitals? It will go on a loop if you do not successfully verify yourself. Fortunately I do not have this problem as I use via Outlook Express.

You won't be able to use Outlook/Outlook Express for soon as Microsoft in their infinite wisdom have decided that their Email client, won't support their own web-based mail system !
If anyone wants a account (which interfaces with Outlook very easily), just drop me a mail as they've given me loads to give away !
Well if I can't access via Outlook Express, then that will be the end of my days as I find the proper site a pain in the bum to use.

Can u do this and still remain annon?
You maybe using a proxy server that is serving "Stale" pages. After typing in the verification letters and pressing enter press CTRL+F5 and see if that lets you in.

It's already stopping you adding new accounts to Outlook and I believe support for existing accounts stops in Q1 of this year sometime.
Those accounts are still available (and it's way better than anyway and VERY quick !)
Saying that, it's not asked for the verification code on mine or S's accounts yet.
Thanks for the input peeps, tried one or two of the options. Microsoft were a great help...........NOT, so it looks like I'm gonna have take Vix's advice, you know it makes sense...lol.
Bit of a pain though and I'm not really into that, going to have to reregister, tell my contacts etc etc etc etc............ mad
Steph, I think your answer was pretty close to the truth so F**k Mr Gates
