how far away is too far!
Just been told in PM that I'm not near enough...   but it could be right!!
How far would you travel to see a friend?
How far is too far to travel to see a friend?
Just an idle thought.
cool 8-)
I think all special friends should move and live within 10 miles of me!
Not 100 to 300 miles away!
However I have and will drive to them...............
sarah I love your bum!!!,
tinaxx
Nowhere to far to see a friend, if its someone we have met b4 then distance is no problem, if its a new couple/person i like them to be local just incase they not genuine.
We know a couple who traveled from London to Scotland and turned up at a empty house  and they had chatted on the phone and everything, the problem is even if you do chat to someone on a house phone if the numbers ex directory, as most are now days, you can't make sure the number matched the address, and not many people would do that anyway
preferably all my friends should live on my street like 'neighbours'
and we would have bbq's and swim in each others pools and.......'bouncer stop digging in the garden!!'
on a serious note: i doubt i would travel more than 50 miles to meet anyone (unless i happened to be in the area) because of stories like the one above.
Depends on how reliable the car is confused i`d crawl through muck n bullets to see you tho jags ,,,
well,,,
a little bit of muck and one bullet maybe wink

Blimey....that's got me thinking :undecided: I'm hoping to go visit a friend in Australia next year.....but that's kind of a special occasion. So I guess no distance for friendship is too far. dunno
I'd think nothing of travelling 300 miles for a weekend if you fancy a nite out Jags
To see a friend well, I’d travel any distance.
To meet up with a newbie who maybe a timewaster/chancer, no more than 40 miles.

That pretty much sums it up for me too in most cases
Well for me, it always involves long travel :P ....but have no issue with any distance for a friend, mate, chum etc....
But try and avoid meets with people I haven't really met before.....as too far, for maybe let downs etc....
but saying that,,,,,Trying to get to a munch ,,,,so shall see if that friend's list grows.... :P
well if they allow johnny foreigners in that is
It's not just a matter of how far YOU'd travel, either.
If someone has come 80 miles to see you - and they're awful - what are you going to do? Won't you feel guilty, sending 'em off unfucked into the freezing night?
I don't mean the awful people who deserve the brush-off, like the ones who are mean or pushy or pissed or 20 years older than they said..... I mean the people who can't help being awful, who turn out to be ginger, or even........ Welsh.

Well, whatever muppet knocked you back for being too far away , needs a proper Jags-slap ! You should order the damned fool come and see you.... lol
As for me, I have clocked up near on a 1000 miles recently just for one munch. Though newbies I wouldn't put the milage in for. Would be furious to get blown out at the other end by a timewaster.

Yeeha!!

For Munch's......I'd travel some distance.
To meet new people either socially or otherwise........ I guess 60 miles maximum.
To go and see special friends.... No journey is too far.
I went to see someone 180 miles from me recently - arrived around 11pm and left at 6am the following morning, that's 360 miles in less than 10 hours.... I must be mad!!
Seriously though, I'm always willing to make time for my friends, distance is not a problem for me.

One GREAT BIG HUGE JAGS SLAP being administered right here - right now!

when i get more into this i dont think that distance would be a problem at all to see a friend.
On topic -
Have travelled lots these past 3/4 years by train and coach as I don't drive, but the excitement starts there for me. Whether it's seeing the Essex maf or meeting new people, the travelling sort of adds to it. I think if you munch yer head orf and do lots of meets then the travelling would get to you - but generally I would go up and down the country without thinking about the distance, it's part of it.

If a friend needed help, I would do whatever was necessary, drive any distance, go to whatever trouble.
To get as far away from them as possible lol

And then you would charge them for the petrol rolleyes
I dont see distanace as a problem. Infact i worry more about people who live too near. Cant imagine meeting anyone who lives less than say 15 miles away!! Dont want to be buping inot them in Tescos or worse still find they know people I know.
The furthest I ahve travelled is Carlisle which is about 2 hours away. It waas a first meet and he was from Scotland. Yes it was worth it and I would do it again

Well funnily enough whilst in London a couple of weeks ago - I had lunch with a very nice gentleman from here who only lives about 8 miles from me!
Erm, Jags, we've had this one before...
