I was standing by the door in my best going-out clothes (which are the same as my going to work clothes and my working in the garden clothes. I must go shopping). Waiting all day. But you never turned up.
The less charitable part of me is thinking that perhaps you drove straight there without even a thought of picking us up on the way. But I know that can't possibly be true. You must have got lost or something. Remind me to give you a better map next time.
