How long were you on SH before..

You went to a meet?
Now i'm new so just getting hang of the lingo and i think I mean a munch (is that the social one)
I'd love for me and Si to attend one just so we can kinda integrate and meet people from here but do we have to be a member for so long first?
I have looked around but can't find answer smile

And I apologise if this is in wrong place but technically it's not a meet up request it's just an information request lol

A munch is a social (sometimes with a theme) but it is strictly for SH members where as a social can be for SH members and other people...

ahh so a munch is just chatting and getting to know everyone and a social is a lil bit more? Right I think I got it. LOL I see me and Si urning up to a social thinking it is same as munch and having our eyes opened rotflmao

We were on here about 3 weeks before we had our first meet and about 2 months before we went to our first social...hav'nt been to a munch yet though lol

I was here about 3 days beofre my first meet!
I went to a social after about 6 weeks I think, and as for munches I went to them ALL from Nov 04 to about mid 06, I was never at home at weekends!!
I am now a retird munch tart!! lol

Criteria for munches will be laid down in the first post by the organiser but I would say that any munches arranged from this time on you will be eligable to attend so keep an eye on the Lets Meet Up forum and get munching :-)

No, they're both social events. The main difference, as Steve pointed out, is that SH munches are for SH members only. Socials might have people from elsewhere in attendance. Generally munches have a bar, entrance and toilets for the use of munchers only.

I was here for over a year before I went to my first ( and only ) munch in Notts but did a couple of socials before that and lots since biggrin

Joined in the June and went to my first Social in the August. First Munch was the March after that.
Meet-wise, as in 'play' meet - well I pretty much started them straight away.
In fact, I'd done the whole meet and Social thing before ever I posted on the Forum... that was what took me the longest.

We have been SH members for a year but have only started using the forum in the last few months...it took us a while to get used to things and perhaps we were a little scared :shock: I'm not sure why though, because there are loads of great people on here.

It was about 7 months before we had our first meet, but it was a private meet.
We have never been to socials or munchies, but still enjoy the private meets. wink

Never been to one, got no desire to go to one. I've always been of the opinion that four is company, any more than that is a crowd, and I don't do crowds cool
