With people I know or have got to know online then I'm not too bad. I do project an air of confidence in my posts and on msn but the reality is that I suffer dreadfully with my confidence and it really gets to me. I can put a lot of people off when I meet them for the first time, they see me at munches laughing and flirting with people I've already met and yet I can become tongue tied and embarrased when meeting for the first time.
Some of the long standing members might remember the first time I posted a picture of myself on the site and it was a massive thing for me and now I have a veritable library of pictures. I can be tempted to put a small show on cam now and again which two years ago would have been a huge no no.
Generally if I disappear or stop posting it's because my confidence has wained and I've withdrawn. We've also been to clubs and my "bottle" has gone and so it can look as if I'm not interested in a person but actually I wish they just take me by the hand and lead me into temptation  .
If I have confidence then there's no stopping me usually LMAO (hence the massive post count)!!

I find it a lot easier to tart on the keyboard than actualy meeting people. Went to social on Saturday and was nervous as it was first time I had been anywhere as a single. Used to going to clubs with my ex, but not on own.. I did go with friends, so made it easier.....but looking forward to going to a few more munchies on me own now.
We find that like everyone else, we're a lot less shy via 'tinterweb than when meeting first time, having said that, just been to our 1st social and had a great night (thanks in no small part to coming with the guest of honour! )
Everyone was really friendly and helped us feel welcome, the bar seems to be an easy place to meet new faces without the uncomfortable silence, as does the dancefloor!
Posting and reading posts here has helped, cos we at least got people's sense of humour, and it was cool to finally put faces to names/ posts!
Although we didn't manage to meet or say hello to everyone, next time we'll be less nervous, now we know a handful of folks, hopefully next time we'll have both hands full...
A bit of a ramble, but everyone's really friendly and although it's nerveracking at first, we couldn't hope to meet a nicer bunch of strange faces!!
We'll stop gushing now!
