May I ask some of the more experienced members how difficult it is to organise a munch. Also what kind if thing it involves? It is just a social gathering but should I organise to eg go to a swingers club after drinks or just 'go with the flow'?
Any input very much appreciated.
Thank you.
Right it would help if you said what area you came from M
Im sure that some of the people that have organised the munches will help you out.
From what i can gather it can be time consuming and hard work.
I have already started in the other room. Someone suggested I ask for help and they are probably right. Being new to this I don't know many people well here. Maybe people don't trust someone they don't know?
I am finding it very slow going having to wait ages for people to reply to post setc.
Thanks
One of your problems M, is you have not read the threads about other munches. If you had, you would understand who organised them and YOU could contact them direct. At the moment you are firing off in all directions, even though you were pointed in the right direction from the beginning! If you have trouble organising who to contact, you don't fill people with confidence that you could pull off organising a munch.

Not on the scale of munches, but I have organised many functions before, and the effort is ALWAYS a huge event and time/effort consuming. It is not a whim event, and maybe in all honesty getting better known, and being about, making friends is a better way to begin with. I am sure when you are known, and as respected as you can be, people will respond. Until then i think it a good idea to look, learn and listen, because in the end what works well is on offer from people on here who know??

Thank you all for posting. All advice has been absorbed and I will act accordingly. The reason I wanted to organise one is because I have not had much success in this 'hobby'. I have had experience in organising days out at uni which was difficult at first but got easier once I was familier with who was who. Thanks again and sorry about the trouble.
