I am sure no-one wanted you (or any social organiser) to run an event at a loss but the discussion was about the disparity in the pricing structure...
If everyone is asked to pay £4 then I forsee no problem with that and it shouldn't run at a loss....
NEVER once did i mention your name or question your profit!
It was a thread for thought as to why anyone would do such an odd price structure for JUST A SOCIAL in a pub. It gives off a strange idea. It wasnt a personal vendetta against you as I never mentioned you in it at all i mearly stated....A SOCIAL IN DERBY!!!
i have no further comment on this issues
please note we are new to arranging socials, this is a one off never again lol. i have reciepts ty xxx

Its only fair really.....
Dont bother answering .....It was a rhetorical question ;-)
Hi,
I would not take things too personally. People will always moan what every it is. As long as you are able to make more people happy than you do sad then you must be doing something right.
You might feel that sometimes there are swinging police. People that have such strong views on the scene that they try and stop anyone doing anything that they feel does not match there views. Be assured though, that even though there are these sort of people about, their oppion has the same weight as everyone else.
I find it strange that bringing something to the attention of SH members through SH forum board is regarded as going behind someone’s back. The original thread was highlighting the principle of charging single men £4, couples £2 each and females £0. As I saw it if everyone was charged the same rate no one would be having this discussion so I don’t accept the argument that it is a witch hunt.
If for my next social I was to say that everyone from Derby will be charged £4 and people from West Midlands can come for free, would that be acceptable NO. Would I expect you to put a thread up YES. Maybe SH should close down the notice boards and let everyone do as they please behind everyone’s back.
It seems very simple to me, when a social thread is posted tell everyone what the entrance fee will be if any. That way everyone can see what the cost is and decide whether they want to attend and support the event. No one expects a social to be run at a loss and no one would question the amount charged provided it was fair and reasonable for everyone.
If a organiser is not able to get the numbers through the door to make the night viable then don’t organise the event. No one is forcing anyone to organise socials. If people didn’t come to my socials I would stop doing them. Socials are not a popularity contest, it’s about giving what people want and not what the organiser wants, and by doing that they will support the event.
well has a woman myself i had no intension of upsetting women , i a, trying my best here to keep people happy if you give me chance ok
