Hi all
I am taking part in the Moonwalk tonight. For those of you who dont know what this is.....its a 26 mile walk starting at midnight on the night of 19th May which begins and ends in Hyde Park.
The walk is to raise money (and awareness) for Breast Cancer. There are 15,000 people registered to take part in this event and all participants (even the men)wear a decorated bra while walking ....and mine is just brilliant!!! It has big windmills stitched on it,(you know the sort on a stick that kids have - but mine is without the sticks attached) at nipple level and the faster I walk the faster they spin!!!! It also has pink bows and a big pink feather attached.
I am looking forward to it as the atmosphere is supposed to be fantastic - but am sure my legs will be aching at the end of it. (Bassman is away till Sunday night so I may be in need of a massage before he gets home wink ) However, its for a very worthy cause so its all worth it.
If anyone is around cental london from midnight till 7am or so on Sunday then you may see us doing our bit for charity - so give us a wave and some support biggrin
If anyone would like to sponsor me for taking part in this event and would like to support this charity then please pm me for details
kiss passionkiss Well done hunni!
I will be laid low with the terminally fatal Man-flu tonight & I have been told by twos to keep my germs to myself redface
If you can think of or wish to take part in any other extraneous activity that might require a massage just remember where my pm box is
Thats if I can survive this cursed illness!

Hope it goes well tonight, I'll be thinking of you kiss
so we need to know.. how are you, and how are the windmills?
I hope this doesn't involve our beloved FemBernie... but word is on the local London News News Underground Network... (gossip grapevine) that the weather got a tad blowie at around 3:30 am... and one woman, reportedly with an aerodynamic element to her costume was caught in a freak gust on rounding a corner at Green Park I seem to remember.
The poor woman... no name given... was lifted from the floor and dragged/lifted quite dramatically as the strong breeze, combined with the *lift* provided by the costume conspired to raise the happless fundraiser from the course, and unceremonially snag her on one of the chimnies of a well known Pall Mall Hotel... a horrifying trip... though rather enternaining, you'll have to admit!
the accompanying light display was reported as awe-inspiring.
Lets hope above hopes that FemBernie is ok.....
and indeed that the fundraiser, whomever she may have been, was not disqualified from her charitable efforts

Hi all
I did my Moonwalk in 8 hours 57 minutes!!!! How anyone runs 26 miles is beyond me - I found it tough walking round and at one point thought it would never end. It was also very odd beginning this at midnight. Support from late night party-goers etc was just fantastic - plus loads of cars were tooting us along the way. As anyone from London will know - the roads are always busy with taffic - even at 3am. Lots of people who are not from London - and not aware of this - couldnt believe that they had to stick to the pavements cos the roads were so busy.
My WIndmill Bra worked very well - but didnt get me there any quicker!!! There were some other great bras and groups of women in matching costumes etc. It was just brilliant.
The Moonwalk was 10 years old yesterday - and the first one had just over 60 people taking part. Last night there were 16,000 people registered to take part. I think that is just fantastic!!! And they raise millions for breast cancer care and research.
Londonplaything - that story above doesnt sound very good!!!
Thanks for all the good wishes from everyone
xxxxxx
