I havent ventured into the chatroom yet.......so cant knock it til I've tried it ..........but.....FFS!!!

I have ago every now and then but get frustrated at people "blinging" me without asking, when I haven't even got as far as saying hello.

so where do you type this command..........is it in the message bar IN the chatroom or before you go in the chatroom. This part confuses me!!

/notice <nickname> <message> = sends a private message to a chatter which is displayed in the main chat room. this is ideal when you has to say something, but dont really want to chat away from the main room.

Ideal until you forget to add it at the front (and you will) and send a highly embarrassing private message to the whole room.

hmmm that's a bit worrying! what if someone tries to impersonate someone else then? say Mark pretends to be AWOL (why would he but hey humour me yeah?)

when you enter the room for the first time you have to register a nick name. this nick name is then tied to a password, and only you and anyone with access to that password can use it.
if you type "/nick jonathan" you will be asked for my Password, and if you dont enter it, your nickname will be changed to "guest****"

You would type it in the message bar Amber smile

Lets say you registered as BiWelshMinx...lol, then once in chat you wanted to add your ad number to name, you would type /nick BiWelshMinx100742 in the message bar :)
It would show in the chat room that you had changed your nickname and the new one would be the one you are known as.

you managed to get in? without sticking a thread up? or does the reference to an angel mean you got someone in SH-Help to do it for you? ;)
i ain't been in for AAAAAAAGESS . . . . and my nick had disappeared . . . . i had to use IRC help to get back in meself, which is piss poor! lol

I did everything on me own until I got to the point where it says we've sent you an e-mail with the number on it - waited innocent

and waited - no e-mail! I asked Angel Chat :inlove: and she suggested that it might be in me junk folder surprised

I popped back in recently and had a bloody good chat with a certain gent biggrin

i used to go in there in the evenings quite often but Steves always nicking the comp in the evenings now rolleyes
