This is exactly right. It also appears to be a learned response and seems to happen easier each time. There seems to be a change in the feel of the vagina just before the gush and it is definitely from the vaginal walls not the urethera.
The trick is also to go harder and faster with the fingers than you normally would and to use very short strokes with the fingers very firmly hooked upwards.
