I HATE Summer !!!!!

Well, not really but a couple of things pee me off in this heat.
Like, I bought some lovely bananas yesterday, not a spot on the skins and perfect. I get up this morning and they're almost black! :shock: Can't eat them when they're like that so worth of bananas in the bin. mad

I also think the influx of giant mutant wasps ( I kid you not ) have been sent to this planet specifically to make my life hell :scared:
On the plus side though, I get to wear less clothes wink

and more to the point, I get to perv from behind my sunglasses at ladies with not much on :rascal:

I have a wasp invasion in one of the airbricks, and me and flying things don't mix. I had a plague of flying ants last Sunday aswell.
I go into a blind panic when a fly or similar comes near me and start flapping so much i almost fly myself :scared: lol

This heat is killing me as it allways does. I like warm weather but this is beyond that as there is no breeze.
As for you sitting out side with next to nowt on. Is the house next door for sale :twisted:

Nothing. I love it, although I will be happy when autumn comes and I can get my boots out again.
But for the time being - the sun is shinning, it's warm and sultry. Preparations for making hay underway. :twisted:

Yes we seem to have had an invation of these rather large wasp round here too.
But all that said, I can't complain, I've gained a lovely tan and I love it like this. Hotter the better for me

I love all our seasons for one reason or another. Summer makes me happy, I love to see the world in full bloom.

It's so much better when it's sunny. cool

all the people whining about it being too hot and they're having trouble sleeping etc. are annoying, yet they will still jet off for a holiday in the sun.
i'd be more than happy to have it like this all the time, if it was we'd soon adapt and have air con fitted. you watch, same people will be whinging when it's cold and wet in the winter sad

I get jealous of people who go a lovely shade of brown in the sun. I'm too fair to sit out in it for too long and usually turn a sort of lobster pink even using factor 30 :doh: I was the only one on our cruise ship to return from the Caribbean as white as I went redface

like Kiss me i like all the seasons for different reasons, i love to feel the warmth of the sun caressing my skin and making me feel happy to be alive, my mood is always better in the sun
Winter cos of the cosey nights spent snuggled up with candles and the fire on being grateful you are not outside and it gives the land time to rest
Autumn i love the colours
spring is the time of new life and regeneration

All the seasons hold something for me. I'm lucky that I get to do a lot of outdoors work in the wildest of Scottish unspoilt country so the seasons can be all the more vivid and alive.
I dont really like the heat all that much though. I do find it uncomfortable, even with less clothes on and sleeping is a nightmare. Although there are some rather nice sites to see from behind sunglassess :twisted: cool

They'll make FABBY banana muffins which go down a treat! Don't waste them. As Laird says they are sweeter and make really tasty muffins.
As for the weather ... I've spent the summer being very shiny. I just sweat a lot in the heat and it is difficult to operate normally but I just LOVE IT. It'll be October soon enough with the cold, wet and dark and wind and then we'll be moaning again. Revel in it - sit in the sun and enjoy it. Oh, and make some muffins. Will PM you a receipe when I get back from my trip to Durham.

Well I'm REALLY looking forward to the cold weather coming back!
Unfortunate timing all round for me as ...
I've been near 2 weeks with no fridge freezer - last one gave me a good 13+ years service so can't complain about that but this is without doubt worst timing possible! New one doesn't get here till Saturday ... I can't wait!
Plus, as I got my cat on Sunday, I've had to keep all external doors and all windows closed so that he doesn't get out before the recommended 3 - 5 weeks settling in period are over. Think it'll have to be 5 weeks as he's not been owned before so I need to be certain he'll come back before I risk letting him out.

A couple of Summers ago I did a college course for work. It was day release at the local college. On our course we were mainly mature men and we really enjoyed the sights of nubile teenage girls mincing down the corridors (yes they did mince)
However, as the weather got hotter and hotter these girls wore less and less. Until one hot lunchtime almost all the men on the course were found hiding in the caferteria. It was unbearable, these girls were young enough to be our daughters but our loins didn't recognise it. redface
