I’d like to make some suggestions regarding this site. I would also like to premise my comments with the fact that I think it’s a great site and I do very nicely from it ty very much.
1) Tell free members their advert is worthless before they post it. They cant reply to full members and they cant see attached pics. So we have to con the system with disguised email addies. Just tell them they cant post until they are premium members.
2) Kick anyone (non-premium members) that hasn’t been online for 1 month, they are no longer interested, and they wont pay. It bulks up the numbers, but it doesn’t help active members searching.
3) Kill all adverts more than 2 weeks old. If they don’t up-date, they are not interested. Make it real, really interested swingers, not adverts from people that have not been in since 1927.
4) Alter the search features on profiles, so we can “my search†people looking for couples or single males or single females or whatever. I do a search for S & M for example, and I get a huge list,,, many inactive for over 6 months, and many not wanting my group.
5) Smoking, simplify it ffs, you either mind smokers or you dont, but 5 catagories of smokers messes up any search. You either mind smoking or you don’t, but 5 qualifications reduces the search to a waste of time.
6) Personal one this, but applicable to any category,,,, allow a search for single men welcome,,, or bi-women welcome, or so straight in their advert and profile they are totally homophobic and would projectile vomit at the sight of same sex genitals. It so immature bos to say you are totally straight, and totally the he man, if you want another guy to shag your wife, you WILL see his willy.
7) Design the advert template to include age required, travel or accommodate, smoking or not, shaved nether regions or not, age required, gusset strength, how many tenner ladies needed on the drive to meet..
8) No point in letting free members advertse if they cant see our pics.
9) Ban willy pics from single men seeking anything, face or bum, make it civilised.

The problem with that idea, is that not every member has constant internet access. Kicking members after a months absence means we would lose the contributions of those who spend periods of time working abroad, travelling, and those who do not have home internet access, but manage to get online periodically.

I don't search the ads for meets so I can't comment on the changes for there but I can see your point about inactive ads being removed.
A couple of weeks might be a bit premature though. Last time I did advertise it was over a month before the event was due and I only updated it once I think during that time.
Parties and club meets are often arranged well in advance too, I think a longer period of inactivity before removal would be fairer.

Simonnw, I dont agree with a lot of what you have said, but I did think you were saying the things for reasons you felt would help the site and those looking for meets. However, not everyone uses the profiles and ads to arrange meets, some do it via the chat rooms, were they can find out all the info they want just by chatting, some do it via the forums and via the socials arranged on here. So to restrict the way people use the site, really would end up with a lot of regular users having to leave. Which in the long run would definately not do much good for the reputation of the place.
However, your last post didnt really do you any favours and any empathy I had for the reasons you were doing this, have now gone out the window :roll:

ooooh... i do have a problem with these two.....
in 2) why should a distinction be made between premium and no premium members???? heck i could spend 6 weeks back home in the states if i wanted to... does that mean i should be kicked???? i think a month is just a tad harsh.......

well like many websites these days, free to join, pay for "premium service" seems fair to me rather than pay to join or "trial" membership. But the problem is that because anybody can sign up free " forever", then there will be those who just stick around for a while and are never going to return . Maybe a roll call sort of thing could be done from time to time? If one has been inactive for a while. ( like years!) then its not a big deal signing up again ? There seems little point keeping ad's listed that are so old that they are out of date so I agree that there should be a cut off time and hey! if my old ad is deleted well its no big prob just sticking it back up again !

I don't think its so much an issue of kicking or banning, its more of a housekeeping exercise. but then if people can stay on the database for ever provided there is infinate storage space then why not ? But as a working site however I agree that to sort out the active, semi active and never to be seen again seem like a good idea. One thought is that inactive members could be archived? that is that they still live on but all posts ads etc get deleted? .

We all have our own favourite areas, places we feel that bit more comfortable using. Any suggestions I could make about using the site would obviously be based around how I use the place, Simon had just done exactly what any of us would do, base it around how he uses the site.
