 Not Literally. Well not right now anyway
Erm, you know when you click into your internet and it comes up your homepage? Well mines is Blueyonder, or it should be anyway. But it keeps coming up this other page even when I go to the tool bar, internet options, homepage, apply. I've done that heeps of times but it keeps changing itself again.
Anybody know how to sort this?

Sounds like you`ve managed to pick up some kind of nasty spy/adware, that`ll mess with your homepage, and if it`s still there, will keep changing it back after you`ve reset it.
Run a programme to try to detect and clear it.

No expert but sounds like u got spyware. try rinning spybot or your fav spy killer
try using
AD-Aware just type it into google and its s free download
usually gets rid of these problems
I scan for spyware regularly. I fix all the spyware that comes up but it doesnt seem to have fixed. confused
This bloody computer is nothing but a pain in the fLuckin backside
There is free anti spyware on - a lot of others that are advertised will do a check and then ask for payment.
Hope this helps
If all the vrius killers fail try System restore. Go to start menu, programs, accesories, system tools, sstem restore.
Restore it to your last restore point date!
does it say about blank in your URL address bar?

I get that - run the spyware but it comes back. confused
its a browser hijacker
found that ad-aware is about the only one that really gets rid of it, once it has scanned make sure they are deleted and removed from quarantine
once you have run it then go to internet properties and change the home page address
then change your browser to mozilla firefox, much safer browser, just google it its free.

Is it free? If so where do I get it
Cheers
You can try SpyBot too ( it's free and will pick up anything that AdAware misses. The best thing to do though, as was suggested earlier is a system restore to a point when you knew everything was OK
.
Ad-Aware is free and its my favourite biggrin
Dawn :silly:
yip it is free and has never had a 15 day free trial nad against all the others is much better at finding things than most.
Mark has put some advice and links penned by JQL under the Advice Section I can't claim to understand everything written on there - I just did what it said on the tin and discovered I had uggins of sneaky little bits and bobs hanging around.

Lil-miss have u tried to have google as your home page try that and see if it stays, other than that hjk this to get a log of wot is runnin on your OS....... or download "spysubtract" its a free 30 day version that will find it ad-aware and spy-bot dont allways detect all spy-ware :0(
let us know how u get on hun
ooopsd u can add google as a home page from the google search engine page redface
AdAware has been my fave since before it was known as adaware, it originally was created by Steve Gibson under the name of OptOut, he turned the reigns over to lavasoft once they improved it and called it adaware. This guy is a ace when it comes to keeping your system secure
Hi Lil miss, a friend of mine suffered from this particular pain in the wotsits, tried all the usual- adware, spybot. Nothing got rid of it. Ended up having to do a complete system restore to get rid. Extreme I know, but does the job. cool
Hi
Try spy bott or pest patrol to get rid of it
If it keeps comming up with "about Blank" then its a nasty little virus
pest patrol should do it but you may need to run it more than once
also delet all cookies and tem internet files and history first
its affected your registry
good luck
