Well its been a good while now since I was a single so not sure I am the right person to ask.
best advice I can give is, be polite, be respectfull and above all else be patient. There will be people out there interested in you and you will be interested in them... just don't expect to have an orderly queue formed by saturday night, it just doesn't work like that

As another single guy my advice will be VERY similar to others:
*Be polite
*Be patient (think 100 to 1 as odds)
*Get to know people on here through the forum and chat
*Reply only to ads that you know you meet ALL the criteria for (the biggest gripe I hear from couples and single girls is that they get many, many, many (get the idea?) replies from people that don't even come close to their requirements)
*If you put an ad up, make yourself appealing to your target audience - what would you reply to?, What are you *really* after?, don't lie!!!, and a pic or 2 always helps.
*Remember this is not a place to find a quick sh*g - it's a place for chatting and meeting other sexually free-spirited, open minded individuals that enjoy sharing their knowledge (or lack of it :haha
and experiences with each other.
Finally, get a beer (tea/coffee/wine etc), light a fag, settle into your seat and take some time to explore the forums (fora?), ads and advice pages. Although I can't guarantee you a sh*g I can promise a wealth of laughs, amazement and regular gasps of "I didn't know that"/"Well, I never"/"Bugger me - that's gotta hurt". Oh, and a serious mis-perception of time!!!!
