Totally irrelevant but I’m still on a bit of high so thought I would post it anyway. I’m now at my desk with blisters on my feet, very sore legs and sun burn but it was worth it all and I’m still biggrin
Wicked man, good for you bein able to do that. Would give one a shot, but alas, i have the lungs of a 9 year old kid. Pfft, mean little white stick being soo friendly, well i knew that would happen. Was half expecting the stunt growth thing with it too y'know but i ended up 6'2?!? Yeah i started smoking just to shrink  How far did ya run? Or jog? Or like the oap's do slowly walk along waving their hands making it look like they're power walking.
Congrats and well done! Be proud of yourself.
I wanted to run the London marathon this year but didn't have a training buddy sad still hoping to do it next year though.
So anyone in my area wanna training buddy for next year give us shout.
well done mate
what time did you run it in
hope the feet get better soon
Well done mate my brother ran in Edinburgh yesterday too his first marathon ever he did it in just over 5 hours.

Well done! Running a marathon is on my "to do" list, not really sure how to tackle it cos i am only doing 10k's and feeling knackered - hence the list confused
so give yourself a big pat on the back... smile
watching a whole marathon would wear me out
no way
Thanks guys it was the Edinburgh marathon I did which is just over 26 miles. I managed to come home in 3hrs 58mins which I was happy with. I had set a time of 4hrs 10mins based on runs I did before the race.

Thanks again for all the nice words.
To anyone out there thinking of giving it a go I would say go for it. Just make sure you give yourself enough time to get ready for it.
As for me I'm never doing it again. I'll keep my hand in with the odd half marathon and 10k but thats all I'm up for form now on. I think its just a box I had to tick.
Great time congratulations
Regular at 10 K up to the Half Marathon myself but still to atempt a full marathon..........
Maybe LibraLove as a training partner might just provide the inspiration smile
i would love to be able to run again. once apon a time i could do ten miles with ease but now noooooooooooo run up the stairs and im buggered. you know they invented cars right wink
race ya
Well done you - especially breaking the magic sub 4!!
I've raced at every distance up to including 100k (62 miles!!) and more half marathons than I could shake a stick at, but for whatever reason, I've never done a marathon. More of a mental thing really, just keeping the concentration going for that length of time.
You say NOW never again - wait until you watch the London Marathon next year! You'll be thinking "I can do that!" and you'll have the bug, especially sub 4!!!
Well done

Ok I might go again. I'm happy to say I'm now pain free today and made it back to norm.
