I find myself forever saying "I wish I could do that!" and I guess i'm not alone. If you could wish yourself up a talent (rather than a thing) what would it be?
In SH style, i'll get the ball rolling

(although my Gay boyfriend recons that after a couple of Tequilas- Im not that far off! redface

I wish I could - draw, paint, sculpt.
In fact I wish I could do anything freehand and artistic. I can't even draw a convincing cartoon.
The worst thing is my sister is fantastic at all things artistic - she can draw fossils that look like photos.
I also wish I could appreciate the things that I CAN do. I always have this feeling that if I can do it, it must be very easy and ordinary, but things other people can do are wonderful and unusual.
So a side-part to this thread is what can you do? I can grow vegetables and fruit - I had a great veg garden a few years ago and I'm just starting a new one this coming year.

I wish I could sing.........well and not just bash out a tune when listening to my CD's.
I wish I could write. I have tonnes of great ideas for stories and characters but when I've tried to get them on paper it's impossible to do.
Now we could all fulfill our dreams with positive thinking and dedicating some time per week/day to practice or go to classes etc. This must be a strict regime where you never compromise and miss a session. You need to tell people your goal - 'This time next year I'll be great dancer' for example. That way you're accountable to someone. Ask your friends to regularly ask how you're getting on. If you say you don't have time, think about how much TV you watch and then perhaps only start with losing half an hour per day to practice your burning ambition but you've got to want to do it and believe you can.
Motivational speech over. This time next year I'm going to have a very successful business of my own but still not be able to sing or write............perhaps the year after for those!

Sing, dance, play any kind of musical instrument....................but most of all I would love to be able to draw.

I don't think all the practice, positive thinking or dedication in the world could make me a good singer, i think it's something you need to have a wee bit of talent to star off with!
Thats why its the one thing i wish i could do, i know that most things i could do if i really set my mind to it and worked hard, but singing i have no hope in hell with!!!!
(unless any singing teachers in scotland want to take up a challenge!!!!)

its diving me mad - i want to re-decorate right through after Xmas, but the walls are so bad here every one in the house has lumps bumps and fookin great big cracks in them rolleyes

Office has been decor-less for 6 months cos it needs a re-skim (and the few trial runs at plastering I've already had in there need removing redface

)

I wish I could realise my potential. I think that there are some things that you are born with, such as raw talent, but if you don't do anything with the things that you actually 'can' do.. where does that leave you?
