my agent has advised me not too comment, as you will all be able to read it in my up and coming biography..too many women, such little time....
Hmmmm, interesting one.
I guess as my ambition in life is to win the BDO World Professional Darts Champion and darts ain't exactly the biggest sport in the world, I guess I wouldn't find it too difficult coping with the fame (and the obvious fortune that goes with it).
I'm much of a people person anyway, so I guess I'd enjoy it to a point. Darts players don't really get much publicity, not like footballers, cricketers and rugby players so it probably wouldn't be quite so bad.
Having met current darts World Champion, Raymond van Barneveld (and have to say what a nice bloke he is too) and asked him a similar question, he said it's harder over in Holland where darts is now the number one sport, but over here in England it's not quite so much pressure.
So at the end of the day, I guess it depends what, you're famous for.
Have often wondered if I would want to be famous and come to the conclusion that I would prefer to be the brains making someone else famous - the man in the shadows so to speak. Mainly because you could still do what you want without having to hide it but also wouldn't want to inflict the whole 'fame game' on friends and family that hadn't asked for it.
For me respect is more important than fame and being a succesfull persons right hand man gains you respect within your industry without the aggrevation and hassle of modern day fame.
I, like most, thought it would be fab. In no way have I been famous, but when I had my 15 mins, I really got bored with the journo phone calls, every day.
The photo shoots made me really nervous. Odd really, as it was photo's that got me there.
I didn't want people to know my surname as it's the same as my kids, and very uncommon, but all the papers wanted it, so I used another name.
We have kept all the tabloids and magazines, mind. Will be good to look back on.
Being on The Salon, as a result, was fun though. The resulting haircut was fab, but the colour they dyed it was not!
Would I do it again? With my vanity? DAMN RIGHT I WOULD!
I'm doing my best to become famous! I reckon I'd love it, loads of parties and well, loads of parties really.
I dont want to be famous, I just want to be rich! I couldnt cope with people knowing everything about me. For a start, people might find out about my friends on this site and I would have to stop playing! And I certainly wouldnt want that!
When I eventually take over the world I won't have to worry as I will tell the media what to say
I would sleep with the editor to ensure the story never made the papers (come back piers morgan!!)
Except if the editor was Janet Street Porter in which case I would say , "Publish and be damned"!!
mine would have to be PELE, BOBBY MOORE, SIR MATT BUSBY.
