If I'm going to have a little old spendypoo's on-line I tend to Google what i want then take a choice from the selection those nice people at Google prepare for me  Which is invariable good once i get passed the E-bay and the comparison site links rolleyes
I haven't yet seen a site which gives you the cheapest and promotional items first. Why cant we have the items cheapest first ending in the most expensive by default, rather than having to choose this as an option.
kelkoo is a good site that compares different prices. Good luck Lost hope this helps
in edit sorry Lost, just re read your post & you say you look at the price comparison sites already redface

I know what you mean - and it's very 'irking' when the list runs to more than one page and the second page is sorted most expensive first again - and when you sort it to cheapest it resets to page 1 again!!!!
hiya lostieeeeeee...hmmmm its a bit like the milk and bread theory in a shop this isnt it lol...i mean u go to shop just wanting some bread and a pint of milk and where is itttttttttttt...ohhhh of course its about 10 aisles in , so you have to walk past all the other enticing goods on offer maybe pick a few items u dont need up get to check out and realise that the bread and milk was blimmin dear when u hand over 15 quid lol ....good marketing tho innit xxxxxxxx
Must admit I also love a bargain, and ebay is a place I pretty regularly visit smile
Internet shopping's also been damn useful with other things, even those you really need to see for real first. Ie when we were looking for a new telly a few years back, we visited the local Comet, Dixon's etc, decided on the telly we wanted - which was of course over our budget - and then through Pricerunner found a site that sold it within our budget. Got delivered within a couple of days, 5 pm on New Year's Eve as it happens - was most impressed!
be sooooo very careful hun, watched watchdog tonight and they were on about these "shopping on-line" sites. One fella bought an LCD widescreen from a site he just googled ( I think. It wasnt a well-known site) and he ended up paying for it and never recieved it.
My advice - choose sites that are legitimate.... not ones where u've googled, not heard of, and are dead cheap.
Miss Cream xxx
The cretinous OP (original poster) left the K out from the word now, should be know, in the thread title . What a pillock. Have him lol

I have to partially agree with you, how do you know a site is legitimate or not?
Every website has to be listed in search engines because of marketing (SEO). Sites which are dead cheap aren't always scam sites, the owners are probably working with a very tight profit margin because of competition. Its not a bad thing to buy a product from sites that you haven't heard off, you simply haven't heard of them because of their marketing or even marketing budget.

The best way to ensure you're not falling victim to a scam site IMO is using the customer feedback provided by the likes of Pricerunner. I'd never buy anything from a site that only has limited feedback, or a lot of negative comments (and yes you do find those when you go looking).
