Anyone who goes by the surnames Noble, Belchamber, Broadley, Leadley or Hall are all most definitely related to each other.
Caedmon is a better secondary school than Eskdale (well, it was in my day).
The rivalry between the East and West sides of the town does exist and can get very nasty in the playground.
Those from the Valley are scorned and reviled. They are the true sheep shaggers.
Mr Chips on Church Street is the best chippy in town and don't believe the hype about The Magpie.
The harbour does stink and it's not just fish.
My old house is on a lot of the postcards.
Try to avoid the swing bridge at all costs. It always, always closes when you're in a rush to get to the other side of town. However, it is a very acceptable excuse for being late for work/school.
There are at least 2 members of SH that I went to school with in Whitby :shock: and both answered to my ad.
