I worked for about a month making coat hangers... I was 17 and had to leave my job at the time of dispatch riding (it got too cold). So the coat hangers it was... Foooking boring ain't the word... Time travel... I'm not that worried what period I go back or forward to as long as I don't have to work ! I wanna be rich ! Give me the Money !!
1......... Worst job :- Food processing factory 1997 is was the shit!! and very hard grafting!! but then i worked all summer and bought my very first PC so i have to be grateful for that.
2......... I would go back to when Hugh Hefner was a young stud, befriend him and propose a joint business venture
1).. Working for Til***** (a company that added the colour into sand (no really!)) ... basically... i counted at least 8 different health and safety breachs.....
one day :-) and the council got a letter too muAHAHAHAHAHAH
2) I love the idea of time travel... have to be a return journey.... actually i'd prefer to go forwrd in time... see whats to come.... but if i was going back.. i'd have to pick the 1700s when people were more pompous than now.. hahaha
Reckon I must have been fortunate as I can look back and say I have not really had a "worst job", I suppose each of my jobs has had its good and bad days but no job I have really wanted to get out of.
Period in history...............I think the 1930s
Planemike
I cant really single out a really shit job I've had the misfortune to have.....
Had a few I suppose...
As for the time period hhmmmmm
I guess it would have to be the 1800's when Britain was a world leader in engineering and led the way in many aspects......And steam power was the next big thing.....
Fantastic..
I worked in C & A one Christmas :lol2:
i had a couple of crappy jobs when i was at university - usual fare of barrwork (which was ok), cleaning, kitchen work and usual stuff.
but the worst one i had was when i worked for BUPA as a cleaner, had to clean the operating theatres occasionally! which wasn't very nice, im not too bothered about blood and gore but the sound of bits of bone being sooked up by a hoover was the worst noise ive ever heard, will never forget it! yuck
as for a period of time, im but a young pup (23) so i'm going to say id like to go back to the 1960's around the time of woodstock! go to that and soak up the end of the hippy era
cheers

worst job: a football club steward as everyone swears at you and the coat you have to wear is bright orange so you look like a Space Hopper or a traffic cone!!
1. Washing supermarket trays in my student days was a bit of a boring and grim job.
2. After watching the "Rome" drama on bbc - I'd have loved to have lived in the Roman times.
1. Worst job - scraping sugar dust off a factory floor where they made chewing gum. So much dust and they didn't provide a face mask, nor did they provide earmuffs to guard againstthe noise of the machine I had to use... lasted ONE day before walking out!
2. Period of time - the swinging sixties or the swinging thirties (if I had been privileged to be born into a rich enough family to enjoy it)
I`ve been lucky in that my jobs that I had have been ones that I have enjoyed doing, however, there are somethings in them that I hate.
They are:-
As a school groundsman, putting up nets on cricket practice frames. The nets seem to get hung up on every thing that they possibly can including the stepladder that you are stood on.
In my current job as a tractor driver, verge the south coast town that I cover, working along the main roads into the town, cutting between the lamp posts, fold the machine up to pass the next one, stop and wait for the traffic to clear, reposition, unfold machine, cut to next lamp post etc.
The worst job of all
As a general dogsbody in a vehicle hire firm, cleaning out minibusses when somebody has vommitted in them! Uuuggghhhh!
