Hiya Cam guy, I see you have been around for a couple of months before posting, so probably have a fair idea yourself.
I suspect the answer you have found is "Much the same as anyone else really"
You might as well be asking "how big is the swinging scene with red heads?"
Swinging is about individual attititudes towards sexuality, and most on here like to focus on the individual. Broad brush questions like that can be insulting simply because it begs the counter question "Why assume that it should be any different?"

Agreed - there may not be many. This may be why - purely talking avout those registered to use the fora:Lets say 5% of the National population are redheads.
There are 15 000 ish registered users, 300 would be redheads
Only about 10% of registered people have ever posted in here - leaves 30 redheads
Only about half that number are currently active on here - around 15 redheads
Split between men, women and couples: 8 men, 3 women, 2 couples sound about right?
Like it or lump it - that is yer lot. - Which probably explains why camguy has not yet received any informed replies to his question. Out of 15 000 members - he is only talking to about 15 of them.

The main reason i was askin is ive seen only a few ads, but i feel due to traditional values swinging is not a path to take. Though i feel many asians would love the idea. just wondered if i was false in my views, but i noticed the lack of replies from asians.

Your right. I forgot what they're called, but In India theres an entire group of men who live/dress as women. This isn't something they do part-time or behind closed doors either. They live like this full-time and can be seen walking about on the streets etc. You'd feel right at home.

Something to do with the "culture" I suspect. Having been on the swinging scene for a fair few years, I have only known 4 asian couples who swing along the lines that we would understand it.
One of them explained to me that the Asian way is very male dominant, and it was common to keep women locked away at home, so it would be rare indeed that Asian couples to play the swinging game in the way that "we" would understand it. I also noticed that with the ones that I got to know, everything circlred around what the man wanted. While this attitude is also to be found in people of all backgrounds, you should be ready for an Asian couple to be almost dom/sub, so obvious is the wearing of the pants by the men. This has an impact on how to approach an Asian Couple, as getting frindly with the male will be very important, as opposed to talking to both male and female as you would to a white couple. If the Asian guy likes you, you are "in", if not, forget it. Not politically correct, but that's (OK, limited maybe) experience for you. Just an observation, but it may come in useful, or it may not...see how it goes.
Here in the Birmingham area, Asian Swingers are still hard to find. We had an interesting calculation earlier, well here's another Take a start point that in the West Midlands, 25% of the population are Asian, you would expect 1 in 4 people in Xtasia, Chameleons etc to also be Asian. This is not the case.
Asians are split broadly into 3 camps, according to religeon, Moslem, Hindu and Sikh. The 4 Asian Swinging couples I have met were 2 x Hindu and 2 x Sikh. These religeons have much looser attitudes towards sex compared to Islam. Somehow with Islam's attitudes towards women, I doubt if you will stand much chance of them ever swinging. Moslem guys on the other hand seem to have free reign to play as they feel like. Hindu and Sikhs, especially 2nd and 3rd generation people that are accustomed to western ways are much more (if still scarcely) likely to be the ones that you will find on the swinging scene.
Best of luck in finding your Asian contacts, because when you strike gold, it will be a big pot of gold, as some of the Asian ladies are stunning!
In reply to the above post. I'm a Muslim and was a swinger for many years, still host and play after having split with my ex of 4 years last November!
This may not be the correct forum but just for the record - Islam gave women rights 1400 years ago that they have only just come to accept in our society in the last century - And More! The repression you refer to is purely cultural and has nothing to do with Islam as a religion.

Partyman, some of your statements about Asians and Muslims sound very true- but only if you were saying them more than 30 yrs ago. You made some very generalised comments. I think as an outsider you fail to see the changes that have happened in the Asian community, especially within the last decade.
Isn't it the case with most other cpls that if on epartner doesnt like you- you don't play? Also there are plenty of cpls from an Islamic background who swing. It maybe that they don't necessarily label themselves as being from a particular religion. If you look on the ads, you will see that there are always Asian cpls on there.

There have been big changes in the Asian community in recent years, but what Sikhs, Muslims and Hindus all share is a strong sense of respect for the family. This makes them worried about bringing shame upon their families, and living a sexually liberated lifestyle does not go well with enhancing family pride.
I've been on the scene for a while, and have only met one Asian couple (who happened to be Muslim) during that time, although I was also approached by two other Asian couples. For virtually all swingers, discretion is the key issue, but I think for Asian swingers, it is even more so. There is still a lot of cultural pressures on Asians to behave in a conformist manner, and I think it will be a long time before the proportion of Asian swingers in the UK matches the proportion of the British Asian community.
