Sorry can't help except to say waxing! I have mine done and rarely get the ingrowing ones now.
I've heard that there is a product called "King of shaves" that helps - think you can get it from Boots and the like.
Hopefully this will link you to a free King of shaves sample (found it on a freebie site !)

Give me a yell if you need any help ! lol

.

Cant wax,my skins too sensitive, thanks anyway biggrin
Unfortunately I hear that waxing can make it worse, the hair is getting pulled by the root, has to start growing under the skin, and if the follicle has closed over, you get the ingrowing. Close shaving, creams, anything that gives you a decent smooth feel is likely to come back and bite you on the arse if you are prone to it.
Pisses me off.
I have a very problematic ingrowing hair right where I don`t want it, or can reach it for that matter mad
WHAT THE HELL DO I DO ABOUT THAT?! surprised

In grown hairs are caused when you cut the hair below the skin. Try using a razor that a safety wire and make sure you use a gel before shaving. I did hear one trick was to spray a deoderant lightly over a shaven area, but Im too scared to try.

Oh, and a regular skin scrub is supposed to help, stops the skin growing over. Doesn`t help me much on account I grow splinters not hair redface

Mmm, they do ask a lot of personal questions. Please tell us if you have personally used this site or not. Am I just going to get loads and loads more junk mail?
Thanks.
JudyTV
Only ever had free samples off them. Didn't get any junk mail. biggrin
Edited to add: There's normally a box which you can tick or untick to stop any junk mail :D
I thought I had an ingrowing hair once , and it was damn painful . However I bought one of those super magnifying mirrors ( the ones that girlies use to pluck their eye brows) and on very close inspection it turned out it wasn't a hare at all it was a rabbit !! So i got my mate to drive straight at me with his high beam on , and it froze for a second and then ran off into the bushes at the side of the road ...............in the distance I could just barely hear the strains of Garfunkels bright eyes as the sun sank below the horizon .it was beautiful man .just beautiful .

Ok, I`m going to be frank because I have a real problem with this, and am gutted because this *may* prevent me from having as much fun as I`d like after the munch. I am so pissed. I may have to stop shaving which is awful because growing hair on my pussy is for me like walking around with hairy armpits! I`ve been shaving for years but the problems are getting more frequent, I guess because I am older now. It doesn`t help being a brunette.
Sooooo, I`m going to share this link as I had to do some research last night. I can`t be the only one who suffers like this occassionally, that`s if I`m right in guessing people here are not demi gods! If you do, please step up and keep me company redface surprisedops:

Could use a hug, it hurts sad

OUCH
Have these from me, :therethere: :therethere: :therethere: :therethere: :therethere: :therethere: :therethere: :therethere: :therethere:
Maybe if you leave it for a month or so and let your skin rest it may be ok to shave again after that confused
I`ve come across a lot more preventative measures whilst researching (I`ll dig them out and post them) so I may give it another go, but in all honesty, trying to keep up with this is pointless if I have to worry about this shit. It`s not sexy and defeats the object. Sitting on a hot compress made out of freezer bags and tea bags in the vain hope that everything will be OK in time for the munch is not my idea of fun.! evil

Wish I could recommend something Venus - I struggle with ingrowing hairs when i shave and waxing works for me now, but having been there done that I can relate.

It helps that you posted. I didn`t want to end up being the only poor sap that shared this! redface
There are a few tips here on preventative measures

Anyone tried burning them off by applying a naked flame.
I've had problems with ingrowing hairs on my face, so I have to go around looking like Phil Mitchell. Have to say thats the last thing I'd want to see if I was going down on someone!!!
Anyone find a miricle cure, pass it on. King of Shaves did a little good, but as to cutting the hair below the skin I found wet shaving or electric shaving still gives you the same problem. Even heard it was genetic from somewhere. mad
Good luck
All my family are dark haired, it`s the bane of all the womenfolk on my side. Thankfully I`ve not yet been hit with the beards most of the older female relatives have, but when it starts it`s laser treatment for me!

Must admit to being dark haired and they are thick. I have a few stray ones here and there that I tend to attack with the tweezers but am seriously considering laser treatment for down there!
Costs an awful lot.....
I already read up on it, it said it feels like hot bacon fat being splashed on the skin, so unless I`m unconcious noone will be getting near me down there with a laser!
I`d dearly love to save up for some kind of permanant hair removal though.

I've had my eyebrows waxed today (ouch!) and I got talking to my beauty therapist about ingrown hairs. She has a product called "Ingrow Go" by a company called "Skin Doctor" which she highly recommends. I did a search and found this

BUT.... It's out of stock online at the moment. I think if you rang round a few places that do waxing and the like you may find someone in your area that has some in stock. Apparently it starts working straight away, so if you manage to find some quickly, your problem may well be solved by weekend biggrin
Let me know how you get on :therethere:
