Inter Forum Relationships

Last night The Funk in a a state of drunkeness made a plea from the heart for a lovley Girllfriend to share his time with, and that got me thinking (Dangerous I know)
Has anyone found that someone special through this site?
Any weddings, births etc, I know the majority of people don't come here looking for a relationship but when it happens it just happens.
Just being nosey as i haven't been around all that long..........
I know of one couple who have got together through this place - ManOfMuchFun and his lovley partner.
p.s If anyone is getting married i wanna invite to the night time wink

The vast majority of SH members don't use the forums so we don't know their stories. Who knows how many people have met their soulmates through the ads? How about a testimonials page?

I met someone very special to me at a munch. biggrin

What about Debs and SteveD, they're getting married! OOo and Will and Sappho's babies! Angel and 7 kiss

All this love makes me feel so.......... warm and mushy! Old romantic at heart here.
Although if a life partner is what one seeks I can't help thinking adult date finder sites might be better suited to this cause. On the other hand, you never know who you might meet at a social and fall in love with. I always think the best love comes along when you're not looking, it just kind of happens. :love:

I would have posted something but u and ice pie summed it all up for me.
I have also had the pleasure of chatting to female via pm and if for some reason i have to leave the site i will no doubt be keepin in touch with her.

I certainly don't go onto any forum expecting to find a partner.
I also don't think I've really been here long enough to build up a large list of friends I chat to over PMs. One, maybe two.

Can't say I came in here looking for the love of my life, completely the opposite actually, after the last two proper relationships I had I'm ready for a break and fun!
If I did bump into Mr manofmydreams then things would get very complicated for me I think, especially if we both wanted to continue swinging, I don't honestly know whether me, a relationship and swinging would be compatible but I guess that unless I find myself in that situation I will never know.
Happy to be single for now and see where fate takes me............

I can think of at least one more special relationship - but I shall not mention any names and leave Jags to speak for herself!
The question did make me think though - Despite many years of marraige to Kit, the Kit I met through the forum was a very different person to any I had known before.
It is not just about meeting new people, but also exploring wonderful, exciting, unknown areas of our existing partners.

same here MQ, I never came her or stayed on the swinging scene for the specific reason of finding a partner. But hey, who knows? if the right person came along I wouldn't run from him.
Sometimes feelings amd emotions can be too strong and you just have to go with the flow

i honestly don't know whether i'm doing the right thing responding to this thread 'cos I'm pretty damn sure there are several people on this site who sick to the back teeth of my rather public on-off relationship with someone I met through SH. You know when we've split up 'cos I have my posting boots on again.
Like MQ and Lil_Bunny, I didn't come here to find a partner - the exact opposite. Actually i should've quoted MQ 'cos that's more or less how I felt .... crappy past relationships, enjoying singledom and freedom, looking for hassle free fun etc. Plus, I've got far too much to manage in my life already without having to consider another human being and their demands on my time and emotions.
I met someone. We fell in love. We weren't right for each other - for a million and one reasons that I won't bore you with.
i know of a lot of people on this site, for whom this is just a stop-gap or stepping stone to their next relationship but having said that, i don't think this is the right place to be actively seeking a partner/soul mate type person. As many of you said, if it happens great, if not then on with swinging.
Anyone who meets the love of their life - whether through this site or elsewhere - deserves all the luck in the world. It's really hard to find that special person you just 'click' with and then, harder still to overcome all the other problems of fitting into each other's life. I wish 'em all good luck and I hope they're very very happy. :love:
