Being new to the board, a question came to mind about munches and meets. Have any of you gone to a munch or a meet (or dogging) and run into someone you know IRL (in real life)?
I just wondered if it ever happened and if so how you handled it. Thought about going to local swingers club with g/f, but concerned about who I might run into. Although in theory you've both got as much to lose as each other, I'm sure it would really play on your mind.

I would not go to the swinging club closest to where I live (about 5 miles away), and I know several other swingers who prefer to go to clubs some distance away from where they live (or work, probably), for this very reason.

only problem with that thou Mike is if everyone local to you goes to another club some distance away...you will actually meet the people local to you !!!! In the end give you something to chat about at the coffee machine at work next day !!!!

Well, there are many directions you can take from where you live, north, south, east west, unless you live by the coast! But taken to absurd lengths, it's hard to argue against your point, dean and uhuru - maybe, for example, everyone from Yorkshire goes to Bristol to swing to avoid the locals, and everyone from Bristol comes to Yorkshire!

Yes, it's happened to us.
We live in Sheffield and are members of La Chambre in Sheffield, but strangely 90% of LC members are from outside Sheffield, so the chances of bumping into someone you know is not as great as you might think. However, a couple of years ago, M was having a threesome wiith me and another guy, when she spotted her postman who delivers letters to her office, watching her having sex with us! going to the original question... lol it has happened to me when i was visiting a club in newcastle...i kinda stick out like a sore thumb anyway....to be honest it is not like you can say anything because the following question would be "well how do thay know?"
i did happen to a couple who came to the munch in the north east last year...where him and the wife bumped into the boss and his wife.... it did freak them out, boss was fine about it though....
mind you don't see them on SH anymore....
