Further to an earlier posting about the 'Go ' being the most irritating advert on the TV we now see that there is another one being shown.
Today we have had to put up with the old and new.
We have not heard the new one yet as we have been lucky to hit the 'mute' button every time it's come on.
Anyone else do the same?

I do when the cancer ads come on. The ones that end "it's a fight we don't always win". Not cos I'm hard. It's cos it upsets me too much.
All those gold_for_cash ads are driving me mad. No way would I send valuables to an unknown company in the vague hope the might send me a tiny fraction of their value back. And it worried me deeply that people will and there will be a Watchdog programme in a few weeks about them not sending the cash and not answering calls.
Hi,
We agree with you on the 'gold' ones. The cancer ones as well. (See our posting on 'Life's too short'. It is particularly upsetting for us and particularly Madame Smooth to watch them. We know that they have to raise money and perhaps do not realise that people who have been down that road watch them as well. Whilst on the subject an advert which provides medical care makes it all sound so simple. Please believe us, IT AIN'T!!!!

not an advert, but Easteneders is jolly cheery right now isn't it?
(watching by accident)

sorry to be so cynical, but because of that very reason, they might just feel they have a ready audience to dip into thier pockets.
(I've been down that route too)

But as always there are always the idiots who will though.
Even though gold has gone through the roof, are some people really that thick, that they send a piece of jewelry through the post say valued at 500 quid, and then turn out suprised when they only get 50 quid back through the post.
These people as always are targeting the very people, who need protecting....the poor and vulnerable a lot of the time.
Plus it is open to all sorts of abuse as far as sending in stolen items.
We buy any ......arrrghhh
or that stupid love match ad where your marriage is doomed to fail if they say so...grrrrrrr mad
Anti-ageing creams advertised by twenty year olds that have been preserved in olive oil and shrink wrapped for the 19 years prior to doing the ad. Oh my god and the price! :scared:
Not that i need it of course at my age of 28 biggrin
I want to have a poo at Pauls
(Can't remember what it's advertising)
Really annoying
I don't watch tv much (mainly as the area I live in has such crap reception I would need a twenty foot ariel on the roof to get anything, and my housemates and myself can't yet afford cable....rolleyes ), but the " " advert and the one where you send your old mobile phone away and get cash get on my nerves - the former as the jingle is very annoying and the later because the Bloke in it has the most stupid grin on his face. I would like to wipe it off with a metal baseball bat! mad
that silly little man in the advert who says 'green army' big cringe.
also those hair adverts with davina whatshername in them, is that her real voice cos id rather hear fingernails scraping down a chalkboard.
