Maybe there was an accidental gap in his title...
It should have read: Is 452 old?
To which the answer is, not really, Happy Cats could be your Dad... and M2PU your Mum.

Is it, are you past it at 45 I dont think so on the contrary I think you have it all, maturity experience and capability of holding a conversation to

You are only just getting started !!!
There are far too many cliches to post but here is one of my faves:
Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional.

lol i think most people make it to 45, mind you they are drinking horlicks by then wink
This is just my opinion - but isn't this incessant having a pop at the newbies grammar, punctuation and posting style getting a little tedious. This is an internet site, not a school.
rolleyes
I will have to admit to having done it in the past - but mainly when the text has been totally unintelligible. However now, instead of poking fun, I tend to PM someone to help instead.
I'm 54.
Never thought about Horlicks. I'll try it tonight if I can find somebody to take me to the supermarket.

I am glad I'm not on my own for thinking this - cheers HR & NN.

Maybe instead of having a pop at those who can't write we should have a go at those who seem to find difficulty reading. The spelling, grammar and txtspk never really make a post unreadable.
cant spell,, if thats my biggest worry in life i will be happy
thankfully i work in a maths based enviorment

Agreed - the 'difficulty' in reading is often deliberate though.
I still say instead of getting at them in public - a friendly helpful PM would be far more welcome.

It rarely seems a desire to help though, it appears to be more a need to put people down. rolleyes

agreed, i think its more a chance to take the piss than to help, would be not funny taking the piss in a PM now would there
No, not too old at 45!!!
Indeed never had so much fun. Being 45 is far better than experiencing the uncertantites of the teens and tweenties or the trials and tribulations of the 30' only thing i still lack is the time!!!
Also at 45 im stil lyoung enough to understand text speak and have no desire or need to publicly put anyone down for it!!!

Perhaps one of the excellent spellers who does not need spell checker or dictionary could just auto correct for the poor newbies ? ?
would be nice for them

:laughabove:
to be honest i think most of the people who don't type right could do if they wanted, i think many simply don't see a need to be 100% correct on a internet site

I tend to make lots of typos, etc. when I type in a hurry.
No one in here is perfect.

A person who never makes a mistake - never has the opportunity to learn!

Leave me out of this one... My posting style is awful and my spelling isn't 100% either. I over use exclamation marks and... then.....use to many full stops instead of commas....mixed up with terrible grammar.
And to justify the above posts. If someone feels the need to use the number 2 instead of the very hard " too".... then sorry. My second post was a piss take... in a thread that has been done to death. Fair enough, use the number 2, but in a title after two other numbers?
And in my defence only the worst cases get mentioned. And i am rarely, if ever, nasty about it. Though according to some we shouldn't even take the piss. rolleyes
