So, does anybody have any views on the protocool of replying to posts and emails? for example, if you've been silly and not stated on your post "no single males" and a single male emails you and you're not interested, should you just ignore it? or should you write back explaining that sorry, you didnt specify what you were looking for? confused: also, if you write to someone, is it rude asking them to write back either way and let you know if they're interested or not? :?:
is it just me that ponders this subject? or have other people wondered as to the common courtesy of it all?????????????????
Please let me know, i'm genuinely interested!!
rolleyes biggrin
We always reply even if its a no thanks..... Nothing worse than not knowing....
As for the other, my advise would be to just leave it at that....

Well, as a single male, I really do appreciate receiving a polite reply to decline.
I do think its courtesy to find the time to reply to someone if they've taken the time to reply to your ad. But if your getting thousands daily like me! lol !! it would probably be best to mass send one standard reply....
Looking forward to meeting you on sat by the way! biggrin
We reply to all our emails that are responses to our advert, with the only exceptions being one liners as we specifically ask for a bit more than that on initial contact. We figure that seeing as we have placed an advert, then we are seeking a response and therefore should show enough courtesy to reply.
If we are replying to someone elses advert ,we include as much detail as possible and invite people to get back to us if they are interested and if they are not interested then we also tell them that we do not expect a reply as we know how some people find it difficult to write a negative response thus removing the need for people to write back and say no.
Our experiance has been that if the advert is specific and detailed then we generally get the right type of responses.
