We've received a number of messages with the same topic line 'I want to know more...' and the same message:
Hi, Really like your profile, why don't you drop by and have a look at mine, and let me know what you think.
Is this Spam or is there an option to send automated messages to people asking for more info?
Hi,
This message is a 'Wink'.
A wink is a quick message that can be sent to a user of interest by clicking the 'Send Wink' button on the profile. Every member (free or paid) can send a wink but there are daily limits.
The message that a wink sends can be customised but the message that you've posted is the default version.

Admin.
Yes this is an automated message you can choose to send to people, however, you can adjust the text to make it more interesting, more informative and more direct in what you want to say, those who choose not to make any alterations are making thier own choice and that is thier perogative, but personally we see that as "not really that interested and basically cannot be bothered" so just send out trawling messages.
I will send you our "first contact" message so you can see what we mean smile
Suspect your getting the default message text for a 'wink'
It's easy enough to check, under My Account, select :: Settings and then click the Wink tab
Many people just use the default text, although there is an option to customise the message.
It's also easy for you to set an automated response, if you wish.
having seen your profile to send the wink we are thinking we would have sent you one had we seen it before and had you not been so far away ..... giggles
For anyone else interested in changing the standard option message
Go to SETTINGS on the left hand column then click on WINKS
Our message goes out as ....
Hiya, we are Jed n Sasha, we liked your profile and thought you may take a look at ours, we have a full profile with pictures of both of us, can accommodate (including overnight) and are always happy to meet on a "no strings" basis to ensure everyone is happy to take things further, if not we are confident that we will at least have made some new friends.
It's also the only way a "non full member" can attract your attention. If you are interested in them you will have to persuade them to part with some cash to fully join up!!
Thanks to everyone for the information and advice.
