Is swinging genetic?

We know two couples who have met members of their family while at clubs (fortunately in the bar area), actually witnessing one of the occasions, which was amusing for the onlookers but not quite as funny for the participants.
It made us think about why several members of the same family were playing in a fairly secretive and minority sport. lol

Is a predisposition to swinging genetic or is it something to do with upbringing? We have no evidence to suggest that any of our siblings play, but it wouldn't be a total surprise if we found out that they did. We both think our upbringing should have kept us on the path of righteousness. redface

So is it genetic?
Obviously leaving out people from East Lancs or East Anglia where it is commonplace :lol:, how widespread is the incidence of several members of a family being swingers?

I remember strolling into my parents bedroom one morning when I was about 10 and they were in bed with another couple so maybe your onto something. biggrin

I was bor n on the North Norfolk coast, and I never noticed anything confused

but in the village I lived in, there were two main family names and they over the years had all intermarried...........

We've actually wondered if my (Bev) parents are having something other than a neighbourly relationship with their neighbours. Rude presents, late night visits, 'accidentally' booking at the same hotel as each other, and that's just the stuff we know about!

I think my parents know I'm a swinger but they haven't said anything... yet!
I know they wouldn't be shocked coz they know I'm an open minded kinda person but to say it's genetic??. not so sure about that ... I think being brought up in a liberal environment might have something more to do with it.

I bought a laptop computer from my sister and found deleted mail and photo's from a couple her and hubby had been shagging.
Hope she is not on this site. Not seen her yet!!

My mum's seen my printed stuff, and also when i'm down in thetford I often update her to what i've been shooting... when I first showed her my stuff (even as an adult I was still seeking aproval :shock: ) we got talking about where the models came from.. so I said some where from model sites, others were people I knew from the swinging or BDSM scene... so she asked me what BDSM was.. after outlining it her comment was "hummm, strange, wouldnt have been my kind of thing.. but each to their own" :shock:
I think the strangest thing was not what we were talking about, but the fact that we were talking as adults about adult subjects... even just shy of 40 when i'm at my mums I still feel like a child if that makes any sence at all, lol.

I bloody well hope not - me dad's not too bothered 'bout unusual lifestyles, practices, etc. Me mum though - different kettle of fish - God botherin', Bible thumpin', Jesus freakin', sky pilotin' Catholic ( she's not as bad as she was TBF, she didn't stay too long in "Opus Dei", the Vatican's stormtroopers - on a scale of fanaticism with a 20yr+ Brighton season ticket holder as 1 and a suicide bomber as 10 they are a 8 ( Japanese soldier carrying on in the jungle into the '70s )
Mind you she coped with news of my black girlfriend ( now wife ), pierced tongue, tatts, think she heard about my PA, and she recovered well after I told her I was bi. Lets just say me mum might surprise me - but I am in no hurry to check it out rolleyes

Behaviour pattern may be passed on genetically in animals this is known as instinct this widely used term really does not fully explain the complex behaviour patterns of some animals for example... how does a bird know how to build a nest ..nobody has ever shown it but its behaviour patterns would indicate that the has some prior knowledge of Nest construction... this information could only be passed down genetically and usually only physical characteristics would be considered genetically inherited....
but if it is possible to pass on knowledge genetically it could explain ''past life experiences'' that can be recalled under hypnosis.. and the repeated behaviour patterns of the members of one family such as criminal activities and violence
or perhaps the whole family is a dirty load of sods..!!.. biggrin

I am 90% sure that my dad is involved in the scene and have been for a long time. But how do you approach the subject without causing problems if im wrong confused

Each generation thinks that the adjacent generation couldn't possibly....... ahem well that's obviously bollocks. For your parents read you in about twenty years. Such occurences are a distinct possiblity but most don't want to share it - and so don't I say.
