(Title inspired by the Renault advert.)
What do you drive and why?
Mine is a Yaris, about 8 years old.
Mainly for the headroom. And the boot/rear seat combo is very flexible. Pretty good mpg too - getting about 42 at the mo. And 45 in the summer. Come to think of it there are lots of reasons I like it. And it's British Racing Green!!! (Almost) Crap for al fresco shagging though.
Edit adding a pic :
What's your transport?
Mine is a VW Golf... 1.8 (I like a bit of oomph!)
Gonzo was born in 1995, has 88,000 ish on the clock and is quite probably on his last MOT, bless him! He's been fantastic and I luffs him! He has little silver dice hanging from the mirror and a couple of lumps and bumps (both of which while he was parked - some people just don't care!)
I've never christened him... perhaps I should attempt dogging before he goes to the scrappies in the sky!
Anyway... he's been ace and continues to be just so. My dad fixes him when he's poorly and I hope he makes it a bit longer as he won't be replaced.
Hyundai Getz. Silver, almost four years old. And very nice it is, too.
I have a little yellow Billy (Sally on the weekends). AKA peugeot 107.
He is a couple of years old. Sooooo neat and clean and lovely.. he smiles every morning when I start him up. He has lovely waxed eyebrows and he dresses like a princess at the weekends when I polish and wax him. He likes his carpets to be clean and his boot is always a little scruffy inside.
I love him so very very much that I want to be with him forever.
Astra SRI XP biggrin 3 years old nearly and nippy smile
Why, because I love the look, it's flame red (love red cars), it's nifty, big enough for a family of 5 and small enough when there is just 1 :)
Family car but not mumsy (particularly when the stereo is loud and the sport button is pressed).

(like Foxy ... needed to add a pic 'cause I love my car )
Mine is a Ford Mondeo...because it was cheap!
Our other car is a Citroen C5 because we needed a replacement for our Landrover.....it doesn't even begin to replace it

You have shattered my illusion of you driving a vw beetle
Last year I swapped a series of characterful but unreliable elderly motorbikes for a completely adrenaline-free Corsa. Am missing that lovely feel of something powerful between the thighs but am still completely in awe of a machine that starts on demand without negotiation, flowers or a date with the RAC.

Cheap to run, easy to drive, uses very little fuel,
Its called clarence :smug:

And a very lovely boy Clarence is too. I still use my bicycle for 95% of trips - am I forgiven for car ownership?

I love it, its fun to ride, starts all the time, is the greenest way to get to work (25 miles away and nearly an 1 and half hours on the train bus, bus), 100 miles to the gallon and insurnce is £30 a year! :color:
And this is my not so green car, but I don't use it all the time (honest smile )
Honda HRV, several thousand miles on the clock (work and driving to munches / socials)

Mine is a 6 year old Nissan Almera called Colin biggrin
He's off for his MOT this morning :scared:
We have a 2003 Renault Megane hatchback. It's best feature is that from the side both the car and I have the same rear profile wink .
It is the most fun car we've ever had and I love it. Our other car is a Kia Sedona cos we got 5 kids
I have a VW Golf GT TDi, which is 7 years old, but I have had it for the last two. When I bought it, it had 72,000 on the clock, it now has 175,000 on the clock.
It gives me 55mpg on a run, and as much as 65 if I take it carefully, and I am pretty sure it could go faster than the 70mph speed limit we have in this country, not that I would know, as I have yet to go past 70.
innocent
we have a mondeo zetec s 2001 x plate as our daily runaround and also a sierra sapphire 2000e 91 on a j plate one of about 10 cars to have the j prefix letter that we take to classic car shows

It's pink too! Gem would absolutely die for it. lol
We have a VW Polo in racing green, except for the bit on the bumper where the pressure wash took all the paint off. confused The exhaust needs welding, and it sounds like the head gasket might be on it's way out again, so it's probably not long for this world, but then, Gem will insist on doing 85 on the motorways across the Pennines twice a day. She won't be told, and she'll be sorry when it's gone. sad
Neil x x x ;)
i drive a mercedes vito van mostly now had it since new it's coming up to 2 years old now,i got the one with the 3.0 v6 engine as i like to drive fast,i get good mpg around 25/27 on average.
i think this van is ace i have kitted it all out so i can kip in it if i need to and use it all the time
got rid of my dodge ram truck which i imported myself from the states as it only did around 12 mpg and it was too big to park . i would put pics up but cant seem to find out how to insert them
currently have a little Citroen Saxo VTR, 1.6
Quite quick off the mark, nippy little thing that certainly is fun to drive and I'm happy with! biggrin
