Sheene is remembered for so many more things than two titles.

His wife being the best one I seem to recall

No there is no such thing as "God" - just an invention of the superstitious ego.
Long live human intelligence and creativity - its the only thing thats ever got us anywhere.
All bible bashers should remember Jesus's last words ; "my father - why hast though forsaken me ?"
I'll be on the side if you need me.......... rolleyes

If there is a God (and I sincerely doubt it) then she is obviously a woman.
Nah. If God were a woman, sperm would taste like chocolate!
People ask how can there be a god who allows evil things to happen and we are told that god gave us free will. But when we question what god does, we are told that we shouldn't doubt god because everything is part of some great plan. Free will therefore seems somewhat selective.
For anyone interested in how all religions have screwed us up, I recommend Christopher Hitchens "God is not great".
Most women know theres a god.
Thats why they shout for him when they are orgasming

I seem to be making a habit of meeting women who worship a god called "Not there, Idiot!" sad

Steve you need to carry on taking the pills your Doctor prescribed. lol
Carl Foggerty.... A God? Then my arse is a football.
Cannot remember him in the elite class of GP'S? Unlike Barry...twice WORLD champion.

So being a 4x World Champion isn't as good as being a 2x World Champion
I think its you who needs the medication
:lol2:
So if you really know about bikes, name me one rider who has gone from crappy superbikes to the elite class GP's and done anything?
There is nobody. The superbike world champions who have gone to GP's are..... Hodgson, Edwards, Toseland and Bayliss.
None of them have even won a race, in fact they have all ended up eating Rossi's tyre marks.
My point is that whilst Foggy may have been a world champion, it was in a second rate series. Thats a fact.... wink
The riders in GP's are better that is also a fact. But when GP riders go to Superbikes because they are no longer cutting the mustard in Gp's, they seem to do much better in Superbikes...check the stats my friend. :wave2:
sorry wrong... Troy Bayliss was given a GP ride at Valencia after winning the WSB championship for Ducati and buggered off into the wild blue yonder thrashing everyone... yer gotta get yer facts right!!! - bye the way.. if there is a God, what did he do before he/she made the universe??

So then based on that logic, Sheene can't hold a candle to Mick Doohan?
Totally agree about Mick Doohan, but you could have added the real god of GP's and that of cause is Valentino Rossi
Quote by TabbynTina
we have a god
VALENTINO ROSSI
he is our god, he is truly amazing lol cool
but really if there was a real god who was a great and who do the things he is supposed to have then surley he would have stepped in by now, I mean come on Mosses was alowed to part the water wasnt he? confused: :?:

Wish I had read right the way through before I quoted essex, if I had I would have noticed tabby had already mentioned mr Rossi

Ermmmmm..........he was given a ride as he was the current World superbike champion, and it was the last race of the calendar, when the title was already decided. So excuse me for thinking it did not mean anything.
Also when Bayliss went to GP's for I think two years...cannot remember as he was useless, he did not even get on the podium. So he went back to the other series. So he won a race that mattered to nobody except maybe a few who were still touting for rides and Bayliss won. Pity he could not win a race in GP's when it mattered.....eh?

Personally I don't claim to know whether God exists or not, but the argument you've presented seems to be somewhat at odds with itself:
If you are correct and there is no God, then God is an invention of the "human intelligence and creativity" you find so laudable. How do you resolve this implied paradox?

I'd say "God" is an invention of the human mind or ego, but not exactly an intelligent one given its refusal to be analysed by logic & science.
