Getting into space ultra important, we got the internet and sat nav and a bit more, but I can't help wonder why we didn't spend the billions it takes to look at Jupiter and Mars in researching the oceans of our own planet where we know the resources we need are located but as yet inaccessible

The problem with ITA is that it was very easy. But it wasn't English. And when children were then moved onto proper English they really struggled. But they weren't expected to struggle cos ITA was supposed to be a step on the way. It didn't help mopst kids and it hindered a few very badly.
English is full of variation - loads of spelling options. Pretending they didn't exist and then throwing the kids into reading real English was a failure.

I think I am probably one of very few people who have been lucky enough to visit the Falkland Islands, chat to the penquins but never visit Port Stanley though from what I have seen of the Islands I didn't miss much oh and I asked one of the penquins if he had seen Pingy but he just said "what does he look like"

cant really see what the fascination is with going into the dark and cold with a few twinkly bits
when there's whole kaleidoscope of colours and more weird and wonderful things just a few metres under the surface of the water im many on our oceans
