I can’t be too outspoken about what other guys are doing - but I will comment on 2 things:
1) The difference you refer to Herts Man – a sea of pages seeming to stretch to infinity of Men Seeking Women and up to only half a dozen Women Seeking Men, tells us something about how the two sexes approach this aspect of their lives.
and
2) Notice how in both Men Seeking Women and Men Seeking Couples, men invariably and relentlessly BUMP THEIR ADs using the ‘Update’ button AND resort to foul language and abusive, aggressive attitudes.
Again – has to say something about the difference between men and women when it comes to seeking and getting some, not just in the arena of swinging, but more generally.

Annoying that isn't it? Mark did get rid of the 'latest ads' page for a few days for just that reason. There were that many people bumping their ad up the page that the genuine latest ads were disappearing of the bottom in no time at all. Turned out that it was a popular page though and several people asked for it to be put back.

Maybe Mark should remove the update facility and make them go and modify the details on the ad each time before it bumps it up - especially if there was a confirm step too. The more keystrokes they have to do, the less inclined they would be to keep doing it. Another thought is - I assume the place in the list is determined by the date & time of update. Perhaps when the database is updated the timestamp is only updated if the date has changed. That means only the first update in a day will bump it to the top.

I'm not sure when I'm down because it hasn't been arranged yet, it should be in the next few weeks though. I was down there for a couple of nights in November last year and it was pretty mind numbing in the evening to be honest. The pleasure would be all mine I can assure you.

Well, there seem to be some women who do that too.. I'm certainly guilty of clicking "Update" every few days though - not that it does much good, of course.
Well I put my ad in when I joined a few months ago, have modified it a few times, not just to bump it up, but to make it more reflect me and what I like.
But I had given up hope that they worked until last week I got a reply from a gorgeous Lady, and we are exchanging emails. She thought that i would have had 100s of replies!!
Typical though, in this same week, went to Majorca and met a lovely girl in a bar who lives locally, she plugged her phone number into my phone, had another very sexy girl pvt me in the Chatroom and is keen to meet up. Then Yesterday at a service station a gorgeous blonde who was selling credit cards slipped me her mobile number..It never rains but it pours...
All I need now is for Alex to proposition me and I will die and go to heaven!!! (but not until all the above avenues have been followed please Mr God!)

I've got to agree that it isn't just the men that do this - I do it myself though not out of a need to be top thing,after all its probably best to link your get a more discerning readership (mostly).I mean my ad isn't exactly piling them in, but I have had good feedback from it and I really don't care about the "massive cock good body come and worship" ads because I know my ad took a little more effort and that'll get the right results for me

roger743, tall_dark_n_havesome and SiGo1 - my point about Ad bumping utilising the 'Update' facility was not that it should not be used - I update a few times a day - but that there are clearly people who must be sitting at their PC obsessively 'Updating'/bumping over and over again in a foaming-at-the-mouth, I want a shag NOW kinda way.

Maybe not quite the same thing, but I've certainly been subsequently ignored by ladies who contacted me through my ad - actually, in my experience most of the same problems the girls report also happen to the guys, just on a vastly smaller scale.
When I first posted my ad, I seem to recall reading somewhere that we were only able to use the Update button once every 24 hours. I've just been skimming through the site though and now I can't find where it says that - did I imagine it or am I just blind?
