It is well known that I have never been a fan of football either. Mind you, there was at least one advantage with tonight's game. The motorways were empty and it helped my journey from Shropshire to Berkshire biggrin

It's not even that there is ONLY football on TV at the moment (unless you count tennis and F1 mad ) but I know that the match will be the only topic of conversation at work for the rest of the week.

If you understand it it can be very uplifting . There is a lot to dislike about the modern "big business" game though .
F1 suffers from the same probs , Touring cars or Moto GP or WSB are 100 times more entertaining .

Well I think football appeals to both sexes... strangely enough most of the women (and some of the blokes :shock: ) down the pub last night enjoyed the close up of david beckhams bum when he was on all fours after he fallen over (for the umpteenth time.. must be a new promotional deal hes struck).

I actaully like the sort of high speed stock racing that TC has evolved into . There is still a huge amount of excellent and sporting club racing inb the UK. however like any other middle class pleasure it is wilting under money vacumn headed by G Brown.
