Got my results today, 2.1
I'm now officially a struggling Artist.
Any suggestions as to what I can do with a Fine Art Degree gratefully accepted.

Community Art Worker - helping others express themselves through art
but my friend has a fine arts degree and used that as a stepping stone to creative arts/ healing, and now owns her own workshop where I've worked with some very emotionally damaged young people to express themselves through sculpture & artwork
you never know where it might take you hun - but first, the celebratory drinkies!

Congratualtion H_x biggrin

I'm a Bachelor of Arts myself but I work in design/illustration, Darkfire has suggested some of the things I thought of already but I'd have a look at seeing if there are any local or regional arts forums or arts council development projects available... community arts a good way of getting initial exposure lol

The government are hot on their 'creatives partnerships' schemes at the moment.
I live in Derbyshire and have gained work through quite a few avenues this way and its good for networking (darling!).... if I get time I'll have a look see at these areas for wales and pm you some links.

Thanks folks.
I think it's going to have to be 'paint stuff',
I've tried teaching - didn't like it, was a graphic designer for a while - to much time sitting infront of a computer, tried illustration - too much shmoozing.
I think my trouble is I don't know what I want to do when I grow up!

H, would you go back and study more, or have you done for a bit now?
I think there's alot to be said for part-time teacher training,because you can always tutor adults/ community education/ work on short-term arts projects to bring in extra cash, but it will mean more study dunno

I missed uni dreadfully wthin weeks of leaving & I'm still itchng to get back into student mode biggrin

A huge window of opportunity exists me thinks smile

1) Fully appreciate this moment in which so few things constrain what you can choose to do. Freedom like this is SO underated, especially in a world where some people think democracy = freedom rolleyes

2) After such a time commited to one thing, dont rush into somthing similar.
3) Combine (1) + (2) by going travelling, seasonal work abroad. Worldly wisdom is also underated cool
