here here. i am not a lover of bubbly peeple but do not take the micky out of them, so why is it differeant for peeple who have trouble spelling?
i have lerned a lot about peeple on this forum over a short period of time and some peeples arrogance is outstanding!

but these are the sort of people who go into say a garage with a car then get all snotty when the garage owner talks in technical terms
or when a the washing machine repairer makes them look stupid by turning up and turning on the water supply because they forgot to turn it on after doing a little diy
so spelling is not the be all and end all so those who dont like spelling mistakes get over it !!!!

can you explain to me how that works? i know i have bad speling and any thing that makes it better will obviously not leeve me open to ridiculle on here

Hi Starlight
When you are typing a post, at the right hand bottom of the white box you are posting in
there is a little ABC with a tick underneath. If you click on this, it will highlight any spelling mistakes in red. If you left click on the word, it will show you the correct spelling.
You then have to go back into preview to correct the spelling.
Hope this helps.

When you are typing a post, at the right hand bottom of the white box you are posting in
there is a little ABC with a tick underneath. If you click on this, it will highlight any spelling mistakes in red. If you left click on the word, it will show you the correct spelling.

Oh, so it does. I have never, ever noticed that before. How long's that been there?
Starlight, also, if you're using Firefox spell checking is inbuilt, and will highlight in red any misspelt words as you type on any similar forum. Go to Tools > Options > Advanced > General Tab > Tick 'Check my spelling as I type' > OK.

I dont have a big problem with how people spell. As long as It can be understood and the context is thereabouts then that's good enough. Remarking on it is just a bit crap I think.
i cant spell very well and i often use text talk because its far easier for me because im dyslexic, im certainly not stupid i just cant spell and struggle with numbers too !
i cant proof read my writing because i dont know if i have spelt anything wrong and spell check often doesnt help because some give you several choices and i then have no idea which one to use !

In very recent times some people are labelled stoopid, even if they can spell but don't use punctuation

Hold on a mo.... in another thread I was told not to go crying (not that I did) because apparently there`s nothing wrong with being called fattie or "bubbly"... so now please don`t get offended because one of my pet hates is bad spelling and badly spoken english. I`m from the Midlands and certainly not posh or arrogant in any way.

thankyou very much max. i only wish that others were like you and neil in helping others on here unlike bmw and brucie, both peeple i would not consider to be nice at all.
