I dunno biscuit,cake,cake,biscuit.I give up
Technically a biscuit is twice cooked flour. So a jaffa must be a cake.
I don't care what they are, they should be banished from the face of the earth . . . . disgusting things  :giggle:
Tracy-Jayne ;-)
:bounce: My favourites
I think they are classed as a cake but if you leave them exposed to the air long enough they go hard confused
Do they then become a biscuit dunno
wink
Tomatoes :-------
Are they a fruit or a veg confused: :?:
Phredd
They are cakes.
Cakes dry out in air biscuits go soft in the air. That according to the Inland Revenue.

Yep, and biscuits go soft. Cake goes hard and biscuits go soft.. well known scientific/food technological fact!
Yummy though.

Runs in..steals all the Jaffa's...runs off again.

Jaffa Cakes are just that - orange flavour cakes!
(Maybe I just don't like change confused: )
biggrin :D :D
right i know the answer to this its a cake and this is why
if you leave a biscuits out it goes soggy
if you leave a cake out it goes stale
if you leave a jaffa cake out it goes stale.....
simple its a cake lol
theyre definately a cake
theyre classed as a cake and therefore not liable to vat whereas a biscuit like toilet roll is a luxury item and liable to vat
i have decided on another plane to walk around naked from now on as clothes are a luxury item and therefore i believe theyre should be no impediment to public nudity
anyone want to joib in confused: :?:
since when did you not pay vat on cakes confused: :!:
ohh i'm with you on walking round naked sounds like a plan to me lol
After extensive research, I have found the following to be true:

The sponge layer means that while it is possible that Jaffa Cakes could be thought of as biscuits (especially when dunked in a lovely mug of coffee) they are in fact, cakes.
lol

who would dunk a jaffa cake in coffee?
erm me!
dunk in freshly made coffee so the spongey bit goes soggy and you can suck the coffee back out, and the smashing orangey bit goes gooey and the chocolate melts :inlove:

I guess a tomato is technically a vegetable and is grown and eaten as such but it's also known as the 'Love Apple'
AS for Jaffa Cakes.........well they're cakes and They'rrrrrre Orangey !!
